Project 64 Crash

Hey everyone! I'm pretty new to Super Mario 64 Speedrunning, although I've been watching it for a few years at this point. Today I was recording runs with OBS and I noticed that Project 64 crashed almost as soon as I started recording. I restarted Project 64 and did a run, which would have been a PB... if the game hadn't crashed at the last minute. I could still move Mario, but the display completely froze. I've included a video below of the tragedy for all to see. Getting to the point though, is there a setting in Project 64 that I can change to prevent this from happening? My computer should be able to handle recording and playing at the same time, but I'm thinking that there's some setting in the emulator that prevents it from using a certain amount of CPU or something, leading to a crash when more things are going on on the computer, although that's just a theory based on no concrete evidence. I'd be curious to see what you all think, and any feedback is appreciated. Thank you!

Did you switch to another window? that can lead to some issues on PJ64.

When the game crashed the first time, it was while I was looking at OBS, but in the second instance (the one in the video) I was really focused on getting the final star, so I don't remember tabbing out at all. You could be on to something though!
