Does anyone know if the TAS thornskip where they skip thornskip is actually duable by a human player, and then the saw cycle afterwards? Path of Pain speedrunning is about who wants it most, who is willing to do thousands of attempts just for 0.3 of a second saved, and with windflower taking 5th and vls getting in the top 3, the catagory isn't dead. The one thing that can revive it fully is the might of the hollow knight community, and I have a feeling Yihou's world record could be broken soon. The only question now is who.

Sorry if that sounded way too cryptic, and who knows, Yihou's 2:01.90 is going to be nearly impossible to beat, but the Hollow Knight community makes those impossible things possible.

Yes, it is possible for a human player. But for now the only one who has done it is AlejsXy ( ), but he never completed a full run with these absurd strategies.

His room 3 looks frame perfect, I know he wants an amazing record but all he need to do is to master that room 3 cycle and he can get a record, possibly not under 2 minutes, but probably under 2:01. I really think he should submit a run instead of just trying to get everything perfect.

In my opinion, it's a little off-putting that you've made multiple posts talking about specific runners when (a) we don't really know who you are, and (b) you haven't submitted any runs yourself. I think your enthusiasm is great but try to remember there are real people with real lives behind the runs

also just want to add that if you're interested in getting involved in analysis, there's a great commentary wing of this community. i'm glad that you're passionate about strats and run development, but i think folks find it a bit odd when it's conveyed in commentary-like forum posts from a person they've never met. i love commentating because it lets you analyze runs and inform the community in an uplifting way, and i think your energy could be better focused there.

on the other hand, naming yourself "hkspeedrunnertracker" has an air of stalking and obsession to it—we're just normal people living lives that happen to involve playing our beloved funny bug game fast. i point this out because i think your intentions are good, but i encourage you to treat us like normal folks instead of professional athletes or idols. we're a friendly community, and we'd love to get to know you, but following us by exaggerating our images and caricaturing our abilities isn't the way to do that.
