There's no such thing as global or local, every area(interiors as well as the exterior) is on its own map with only one set of coordinates.

Void out/coc points are basically never at 0,0

Also the institute I'm pretty sure isn't in the exterior, but there might be an OoB loading zone to it somewhere.

You can get two boosts if you use VATS, then when you land, open up the pip boy. Still can't do it without fall damage.

Doesn't seem to work the other way though.

The furthest I've managed to go is slightly past super duper mart though.

Edit: Just got from vault 111 all the way to corvega, if you use VATS then whenever you get control, open up the map you can do another boost.

Edit2: Can't get it consistent at all, I think it has something to do with loading time unfortunately.

with fast double v tap i could do 3 boosts.. have not tried it in vault 111 fly tho. could be the same when swapping weapons in pip boy??

Got this to work. I dont think the starting point has anything to do with this. Just look at the opposite way and it works like a bazooka with the propulsion. Used the pip boy weapon swap. Dunno how far you can go with this. :D Maybe otherside of the map. If the game does not crash. Someone test this. First times i did not use jet, but i had to be quick on the the direction i wanted to go, landed in front of the power plant, second time die on the highway near the plant and third on top of the plant.

I dont know if this will happen a lot, or depended on what area you load into and how fast, but i was trying to find launches to speed up walking to certian areas and i would crash pretty consistently. I'm not sure if it was because I was in windowed mode or because i have a slow harddrive but I think that teleporting too far at once will crash your game.

It could be pretty awesome if we could find a way to move consistently but I couldn't find a way.

If we could find a way to take the "swimming" state and keep it out of water (you can walk on water so this gives me hope that it's possible), we can fast travel while in the air, the problem though, is you can't warp while in the water.

Edit: Nevermind, this isn't going to happen.

i did not find any use for this. but if you save the "lean" glitch and then hide weapon go back to first person. You can use FT and pipboy, if FT then go back to 3rd, pull out weapon and then use the glitch. maybe you knew this or not.. I just leave this here.

Been trying to get the "Museum 2 Greentechs" teleport, but i only rarely get past Lexincton. And even then i only get like half way between lexincton and Greentechs. Any tips on what i could try?

you're doing it wrong, you get this boost by staying in 3rd person and repeatedly opening the pip-boy to boost.

someone should do a tutorial on this honestly. the trick is to get multiple boosts by opening the pip boy as the loading icon in the bottom right corner of the screen disappears(you dont need good timing, just tap the pip-boy button every time you see it disappear)

also holy shit, those console loads are bad.

ok yeah, it doesnt really work. Or at least i can't 100% confirm if it works. Either i make it slightly past Lexinkton (half way between lex and greentechs) OR (and i think thats where i'm omw to greentechs) the game crashes. @Arctice: the loading times ain't that bad. On a full run they're maybe 3-5 mins longer than in your run

It's possible that the console simply can't handle this long slide and you'll have to either do the old walking route, or leave your power armor in lexington and walk from there(I guess?)

well, i have two theories as to what happens.

A) it's causing a memory overflow. Basically i'm loading an chunk A, slingshot right through it. Now chunk B has to get loaded and chunk A unloaded. But i also slingshot right through this area. So again, chunk C has to get loaded while chunk B has to be unloaded. The problem with this is, that it's happening too fast to handle for console memory. Basically we're loading / unloading whole areas too fast, so the mem overflows and the game crashes. This does NOT happen on PC because Mem access on PC is way easier to programm, thus there are better routines for loading / unloading chunks, and also the mem response itself (depending on the build) might be faster.

or

B ) currently there is a well know bug across all platforms, that causes the game to crash everytime you get to around Greentechs. It might be that this "stressful" loading / unloading of chunks is causing this to happen even if you are normally not affected.

Anyway, i can't use the same route, so i will either do the old route, which gets the pip-boy, or i'll park the power armor somewhere on the way. Its possible to get so far, that you only have to walk around 1 minute to get greentechs, so i think this route will change in every run depending on where you land and whether or not there is a FT near by
