All Collectibles

## How to use this guide

In the following, all 12 areas of the game (and, of course, all collectibles found therein) are listed alphabetically. First, the map of the respective area is shown with differently colored numbers on them. Each color represents a different type of collectible (turquoise: what the game calls 💎 on the map = mostly chests, yellow = sand jars, white = Xerxes coin, orange = lore items). Open the map in a new tab to see it in full size.

Underneath the map is a list which provides more detail for each number; for example, a turquoise number "7" on the map corresponds to the seventh entry of the "Turquoise: 💎" list right below the image, and said list entry also details what item this number corresponds to. In addition, each entry has a screenshot linked with it (accessible by clicking on the list entry) which depicts the precise in-game location of the item. Note that sometimes there's additional info after a list entry in case the item can only be approached from one side, if the corresponding chest is a mimic, etc.

# How to create a custom starting save for the "Mask of Darkness" category

First of all, you need to be familiar with how the game's save system works and its location. You can find more info [here](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1q26CcyZH_SiAodrnrBuf3oZqffQ3UqnQgxV6nn91phk/edit).

The category in question starts from the Battlefield with a 0:00 speedrun timer. In theory you're not able to duplicate a speedrun file in this guide we will learn how to do it easily.

Here I will show you how to create such a file and duplicate it easily for your attempts.\
In the example, I'll create the base file in Slot 2 and copy it via the game menu in Slot 1 every attempt.

1) Download the "100%" Save in the Resources (or click [here](https://www.speedrun.com/static/resource/0q5gm.zip?v=5aa2355)).

2) Start a new instance of the game. This is to avoid old bindings to be carried over. This is important for later if you have some custom binds.

3) Create a new file in Slot 2 that is in Speedrun Mode, with the difficulty you want (Rookie or Immortal).

4) Once you are on the battlefield, change any game options you want (unless they are prohibited by the leaderboard rules, of course). Then go back to the main menu.

5) Copy the file "GameOptionsSlot2Index0.AlkContent" to a new folder. Mine is called "DLC Fast", for example.

6) Now delete the file in Slot 2 and re-create one without any special mode (no speedrun mode, no permadeath mode). Then, once you're in Battlefield, go back to the main menu.

7) Now, go back to your file explorer and copy the 100% file into this SaveSlot 2. Then you can enter it.

8) You have all Amulets and Athra Surges unlocked here so you can create your own combo.\
Do it now because you won't be able to change it later, so you'll always start your run with the combo you chose.\
Also take the opportunity to change your keybinds, if needed.

9) After that just talk to Neith to unlock the quest and follow her until your grab the fake feather and arrives in the Battlefield. At this point, the game autosaves. Return to the main menu.

10) Backup your "PopSaveGameSlot2Index0.AlkSave" and "ProgressionSlot2Index0.AlkContent" in the same folder used in Step 5 ("DLC Fast" in our example). if you have custom binds, also backup the file named "InputsBindingOverrideSlot2Index0.AlkContent".

11) Now everything is ready! Copy/Paste all of these in your SaveSlot2.\
If you didn't restart the game, the save info in game may not be accurate but it doesn't matter.\
Just copy that save onto Slot 1 via the game's menu and voila! Everything works :)

Everytime you do a run, just copy the Slot 2 onto the Slot 1 in game and it will work!\
If you delete your Slot 2 by mistake one day or just to clean or because you wanted to run another category, it's ok: just create a new normal savefile in Slot 2 and copy/paste everything you backed up is in the "DLC Fast" folder :)

## Using JoyToKey

### Presentation

We recommend using JoyToKey, a program which allows to simulate keyboard inputs on your controller. It's a rather light program that doesn't even need to be installed if you're using the ZIP version.\
You can download it [here](https://joytokey.net/en/download) by selecting the following option: *"Download JoyToKey in ZIP format (manual installation)"*.\
Unzip it where you want to keep it and, if possible, start JoyToKey in admin mode, especially if you're also running the game as an admin.\

### Setup

First of all, launch the app while your controller is plugged in.\
Then, click on *File -> New* to create a profile for this game.\

After that, press the button on your controller that you want to assign. You'll see it being highlighted in yellow. That means this is the button you want. In this example, I'm pressing R1/RB.\
Double click on it.\

In the new window you can map up to 4 actions to one button. For this example we're gonna use that button to do a slide cancel to the right which is "Shift" + "D" pressed at the same time on keyboard.\
We select the first input box then press "Shift". The text will change from "None" to "Shift".\
Then we select the second input box and press "D". Same thing, the text will change.\

Now you just press "OK" and do it for every button you want to assign.\

Install it where you want to keep it and, if possible, start the program in admin mode, especially if you're also running the game as an admin.

### Setup

1.) Go to 'Settings --> IO Devices'.

2.) Make Sure vKeyboard is listed in the virtual tab. If it's not, click "Setup -> Keyboard" and enable it.

3.) Go to 'Settings --> Controls'. Then press 'Bind --> Create'.

4.) For this example, we're gonna use a single button ("Z") to do a slide cancel to the left which is "Shift" + "A" pressed at the same time on keyboard (If you have different keys bound in-game for these actions, adjust accordingly).\
Create the following binds:

5.) Repeat the same to map the Z key input with the "A" button.

6.) Once all your binds are set, remember to turn on the virtual controller before starting the game. Go to 'Main --> Run'. The joystick image in the application should turn green.

PS: You can double click to edit a bind, or go to 'Bind --> Delete' to delete the selected bind.

## An Alternative to Virtual Controller: "PowerToys" by Microsoft

### Presentation

This alternative is meant for people who don't like virtual controllers and who only want to remap some keyboard keys.\
This program is made by Microsoft to give you better control over a lot of Windows-specific options. It is a little bit overkill for just rebinding your keyboard (file size: around 1 GB) but does work well.\
You can download it [here](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/powertoys/install) by clicking on "*Install PowerToys*" and selecting the version you want (usually "*Per User - x64*").\
If possible, start in admin mode, especially if you're also running the game as an admin.

### Setup

1.) Select "*Keyboard Manager*" in the left menu\

2.) Click on "*Remap a key*"\

3.) In the new window that just opened, click on "*Add key remapping*".\
After that click on the "*Select*" button that is on the left. This is the button that you want to remap.\
For this example, we're gonna remap the left "*Alt*" to do a slide cancel to the right.
You'll be greeted with this pop-up where you can just press your left "*Alt*"; this what you should see:\

4.) Do the same thing on the right Select but this time, put the two inputs you want to use (here: "*Shift*" + "*D*")\

5.) And it's done! You should have this as your end result.\
Just press "*OK*" on the top right and you're done.\
If you get a warning message no worries, just click on "*Continue anyway*" and you're good to go.\

## What to do if I perform a banned action by mistake?

If you didn’t gain an advantage, it’s fine to continue your run.\
But if you gained an advantage, you can:

- Die and restart from the checkpoint you got (except if that banned action gave you a better checkpoint)
- Leave the current room from the entrance you used to get in this room.
- Reload the game to a previous save if the room’s state can’t be fixed.
