I trying to beat the 1M Pound, i could use some game script? And what's the config?
My runs are under 2 minute, but i want de WR
Out of curiosity - what advantage could be gained from using scripts? Could you TAS the game that way?
you could have new Vehicles for raise your profit, new graphics to run fast without lag and get better frames, cities growing more faster and probably more
more differents types of industries too,
i like to use to be more Challenge and with more varieties
i just discovery that the 1M POUNDS WR are using all of that things and a patch, that patch can increase the population town at the begin of games, altrought i think that is legally for this category.
Anyway, i not agree with all modification, would be easy to create one that break the game and only can be used for speedrun category, like a plane with cost 1$ for exemple
I'd like to clarify that i wasn't using anything that wasn't included in the game, no 3rd party scripts or anything, just custom settings.
I also thought only official versions with no modifications were allowed, so I don't quite understand why some modded version is now the WR.
Ok, i probably wrong, but i really excited with that run! And i'm trying to beat! After many search i discovery that patch for big cities was the only way that i found do start with so many big cities at the beggining of the game, but i said that i used patch at comentary. I told before, I do not think that is wrong, Patches can improve the game in many ways.
and sorry about my english
That was my bad. I didn't realize that run used mods, or if i did, forgot to reject it after posting in this thread. Anyway i rejected the run, so vinnyocruz's best time is back to his first submitted no-mods run.
Edit: I just realized i approved another modded run by accident about two weeks ago. It's fixed now.
I think it would devolve into nonsense instantly. Like you said above, you could just make things cost $1, or change the starting money... If there was a specific mod set that made the game more interesting somehow, instead of just faster, that might work for a new category. But I also think for obscure games fewer categories is better.
