Ok my wii mote is kinda busted as in motion controls dont work too great, and the down on d-pad doesnt do anything more often than not. So I was wondering if I and others could use something like a wii classic controller, so am I allowed to?

Only Wiimote and Wiimote with nunchuck are compatible with NSMBW, you can use either.

The Wii Classic Controllers are not compatible with NSMBW because of the motion controls, all controllers usable (the two that Caleb mentioned) are on the back top right of the game's case, which is done for all Wii games.
