Lakitu Cup & Ring Attack Ace Strats for Mario
Updated 8 years ago by MetalYoshi

There are two possible hole locations for each of the four Par 3s on Lakitu Valley for the first Tournament. The Hole 3 strats will also apply for the second Star in Ring Attack - "No Easy Entrance". These are with un-Star Mario. Mario is a very solid, overall good starting character with a straight shot, making him ideal for easy courses.

Unless stated otherwise, assume full power, perfect accuracy, and/or no Spin, so as to save space.

Hole 3

139y Clear (front left) - Club down to 7-iron, hit a top-Impact shot that mishits the accuracy timing two marks right and use Topspin. 139y Rain (front left) - Club down to 7-iron, hit a topright-Impact shot that mishits the accuracy timing one mark right and use Super Topspin. 144y Clear (center) - Club down to 7-iron, hit a top-Impact, one-less-than-full-power shot with Super Topspin. 144y Rain (center) - Club up to 5-iron, hit a full-powered shot that mishits the accuracy timing one mark left and use Super Backspin.

Hole 7

123y Clear (second closest) - Club up to 3-iron, hit a 3/4-strength shot that mishits the accuracy timing one mark right. This should work for -1%, 0% and even +1% RNG. 123y Rain (second closest) - Hit a top-left-Impact, one-less-than-full-power shot that mishits the accuracy timing one mark right and use Super Topspin. 144y Clear (rear left) - Just hit three-short-of-full (148y on the meter). You'll need Super Topspin to salvage any mishits short of these. 144y Rain (rear left) - Hit a bottom-Impact shot. That's it. If you are short one mark on distance, use Topspin to salvage the Ace.

Hole 12 (This is the hardest one, so good luck)

157y Clear (front right) - Hit a top-Impact, two-less-than-full power shot with Topspin. 157y Rain (front right) - Club up to 1w, hit a 3/4-strength shot that mishits the accuracy timing one mark right and use Backspin or Super Backspin. 166y Clear (rear center) - This requires bravery and finesse, but here goes. Hit three-short-of-full (160y on the meter) and - if you get 0% RNG - hold the control stick as little as possible downward (half-to-one tick of Impact point down). It may barely roll in from the left side. If you get +1% RNG, no Impact change is needed. If you get -1% RNG or lose distance in any way, bail yourself out with a safe bottom-Impact shot with Topspin. DON'T MISHIT THIS ONE LATE. If you get two-marks-short, just use Backspin and you'll be very close very quickly. 166y Rain (rear center) - This one is incredibly weird, but here goes. Hit a bottom-left-Impact, 3-iron Power shot that mishits the accuracy timing by THREE marks right. This works for 0% and -1% RNG.

Hole 16

113y Clear (center) - Club up to a 5-iron and hit a 3/4-strength shot. If RNG is -1%, let it go. If RNG is +1%, use Super Backspin. If RNG is 0%, use Backspin and hope for the best. This isn't 100% perfect, but is the simplest thing I came up with. You might have an improved chance of getting the Ace if you nudge your aim very slightly right. 113y Rain (center) - Club up to a 5-iron, hit a top-Impact, one-less-than-3/4-mark shot with Topspin. 112y Clear (right) - Club up to a 5-iron and hit a simple 3/4-strength shot. 112y Rain (right) - Club down to a 9-iron and hit a top-Impact shot that mishits the accuracy one mark left and Topspin.
