Note: this guide is useless as of v2.0.0, and will only work on older versions of the game for now. v2.0.0 completely randomized accuracy for all shots in any mode.

This guide details what mishit on tee shots that you will get when speedrunning All Courses, whether through Score Attack or Time Attack in Solo Challenge, when using Super Star club sets for characters (meaning you start on the championship tees outside of Rookie Course). These are 100% consistent off the tees so long as you use the same club set for any character. They only depend on the tee box you shoot from, no other factors (unless playing multiplayer, where they are consistent per player port/color—only P1 is listed here).

Note: second shot (and on) mishits are predetermined as well, and depend on: pin location, surface type, lie, and weather (i.e., sandstorm, rain, thunderstorm). Championship tees will give two different pin locations, always the same two and randomly decided between the two on every hole. Every common surface, like fairway, fast fairway, rough and bunker, has two or more different lies. There is no visual indicator for the different lies as there was in previous titles (i.e., dirt under the ball on fairway or taller grass models in Toadstool Tour) except that the risk areas—red zones—will be wider than they otherwise would have when you have a bad lie. Your second or further shot accuracy will change between good and bad lies.

As second shots are more complicated, this guide will just list the tee shot mishits. Feel free to go further on your own and learn these second shot mishits on the more demanding holes, such as par 5s.

For lefty characters, all of these are reversed.

These are judged mostly on full power or close to it, except for on par 3s where it is faster to club up and perform a punch shot (i.e., half power). The mishits translate throughout the entire meter, with full power and the largest risk area exaggerating their effects. They are rounded in terms of distance from a notable point (left, center, right) and where the fine detail is most important, they are detailed. Slight means that at full power, the accuracy does not deviate into the red zone. Hard means the accuracy will be all the way to one side, on the very edge. This guide will also list where it's optimal to use special shots off the tee, which are not affected by accuracy and are only slightly affected by wind (~5-10% the usual deviation). These special shot notes are for Score Attack, or the main All Courses category, as Time Attack strategies vary slightly and may be more optimal with the standard club set.
