Your timer does not need to be visible, no. But if you do want it to be visible there are ways to connect your phone's camera to OBS.

This isn't a horrible idea. Most run games have emulated category. I think what Eric is trying to get across is that some can't afford to have a legit set up.

USB Loaders have inconsistent load times. They cannot be allowed in runs. And imo, an emu category is not needed.

I never said usb should be allowed. I am simply saying it was such a conspiracy for the longest time and people turned a blind eye to certain individuals in this category... And ding ding. You're opinion is wrong.

Why would you need a emu category? Just get the game, it's not that expensive

If you want to get into speedrunning you are going to pay money for something eventually

USB was allowed for the longest time because the rules were very unclear back then. The former WR holder at the time manipulated people into believing USB was only 2 seconds faster, and with him being the WR holder, he was believed. Bonesaw tried to tell everyone that it's much faster than 2 seconds, but was shunned away by the Community. The rules are clear now, as it has been confirmed that it's about a minute faster, and all USB Loaded times have been removed from the board.

Emulator WR:

you can run on emulator, just not submit to the board, if you want to try it out on EMU before buying it, then try it out, do a bunch of runs on EMU and if you like it get the physical copy and then submit runs to the boards.
