Specifically for US, you use 8124DDBC 2400 8124DE1C 2400 and for japanese, you use 8124DC1C 2400 8124DC74 2400 for nonstop. You can also use 8124BBD4 2400 for us and 8124BA34 2400 for Japanese to skip the intro. You can also use D133AFA0 F000 8033B239 0004 D033B26B 0000 8033B239 0001 for us and D1339C30 F000 80339EC9 0004 D0339EFB 0000 80339EC9 0001 for Japanese to soft reset using A, B, Z, and Start.
I think so but I don't really know. If it doesn't work then maybe do some research or ask on the discord. (Also why do you keep changing your speedrun.com profile lol)
since this is a thread about sm64 questions, I have one. is retroarch allowed? it runs a bit better on my PC (Because it uses the original resolution of the N64) than project 64. if not, that's okay, I was just wondering.
Probably because it's easier to cheat on retroarch or it gives an unfair advatage like running at a higher fps which is the case for you. They probably only allow certain emu's because they don't want to do research on different emulators to see which ones should be allowed.
followup question, if i want to speedrun on a regular n64, how do i do save states where i can practice strats for each world, and just teleport like i see streamers do on twitch
You need an everdrive and the usamune ROM, that will let you use save states and go to different worlds right away
We would like to announce that VC and EMU subcategories are now active on the Stage RTA leaderboards (under "Levels"). Stage RTA involves collecting all the stars in a given stage including the 100 coin star. Timing starts on star select and ends upon collecting the final star. You are allowed to us
