Slight updates to rules in case anyone is interested, after consulting with mendietinha:

• I have retimed all full game runs, corrected any discrepancies
• I have also tightened up the rules so that rating screen is required to verify IGT on every map but Final Test and Freeform Training; the timer HUD is not accurate enough

I'm sure this has been suggested before, but are there any plans to allow moderators to create a variable for some, but not all categories/ levels of a game? I moderate a game with nearly 30 IL's (Hitman 2), and some levels do not have a difficulty variable.

As it is, I can either apply one difficulty variable to all the levels (leading to extraneous difficulty variables on some levels and somewhat confusing UI), or I can create a separate difficulty variable for each level. And while making separate variables for each level removes the extraneous variables, it is hugely tedious to create nearly 30 variables, plus it makes it harder if I have to update any of the rules (have to manually copy changes to 30 identical variables).

You can't get a score less than zero playing normally, so your suggestion makes no sense.

I am happy to announce that a full revamp of the leaderboards have been undertaken, at least for SA runs. SA runs are now classified by if they are possible on current patch, not just by patch. This has the benefit of including runs on old patches that would still work on current patch.

Tranq glitch runs have also been filtered out onto a separate patch as while tranq glitch is still possible, it is a broken mechanic in the opinion of mine and many notable H2 speedrunners.

At some point the any% leaderboards will also be similarly corrected (only checking for exit delay).

Current categories are fiber wire only, no loadout default start, default start/ equipment, accidents only, sniper only.

Open for more recommendations as well. Hopefully people actually submit runs.

Sorry to bother, can https://www.speedrun.com/just_hitman_2_extension be renamed as "Hitman 2 Category Extensions"? Right now it is named "Hitman 2 (category extension)" which looks different than how other game extensions are named.

Just in case anyone is confused:

In Individual Levels you MUST have a rating screen at the end of the mission to confirm in-game time. Any resets before the successful run will not be considered in IGT calculation. No saves/ loads allowed.

For full-game runs resets are allowed only if you have the in-game timer HUD on. Add any time that elapsed in a level when you reset (based on what the timer HUD says when you reset) to the total IGT. Rating screens still required. No saves/ loads allowed.

Really not interested in this given that this is PC- specific.

Edit: And also, any category needs a sufficient amount of runs. I've not seen a fish run from you let alone others.
