If you click on a series, you can see recently verified runs for that series.
Death to Spies Series shows the only runs verified for this series within the last 5 years were only verified because the game in question (Alekhine's Gun) has verification turned off.
It's clear Kotti is not invested in moderating this series even if he was recently online. I would suggest trying to DM him on Twitter or Discord (his personal Discord server is on his Twitch bio, if you need mutual servers to DM). Failing that, you or someone else interested should request to take over moderation.
Happening with any game with a decent amount of IL's too. It's because @1 and co. are submitting thousands of runs to Minecraft Legacy Console Edition, from the game's in game leaderboard, using a program to automate the submissions. This creates very heavy load on the site servers.

(Hopefully) the last adjustment to Default Loadout category.
Split Default Loadout category between starting location subcategories again due to desire from several runners to see default start runs on front page.
To avoid future redundancy, I added new rule that you should not submit default loadout/ default start runs to default loadout/ any start unless the run would break current default loadout/ any start record.
The story missions as I understand (aka the campaign) are already listed on the leaderboard as individual levels, and there are campaigns for the main story in full game section of leaderboard.
I also do not know what this has to do with escalations, or why you feel the need to bump old threads.
To add on because I forgot this thread existed: There is currently no "all missions" category anyways, because there is still uncertainty about whether Holiday Hoarders/ Snow Festival/ and possible future bonus missions will be added to the game (officially).
New full game reset policy clarification/ changes, hopefully not too complicated to understand. https://rentry.co/ewybr I'll stress that these are rules that are pretty unlikely to come into play anyways, but you have to be ready for every edge case. Will not affect how any current full game runs are timed.
Put Season 2 (no DLC) in misc. category to be hidden by default, to avoid redundancy/ bloat.
Removed agent number (Berlin) and data objective variables (Dartmoor, New York) due to bloat. Left comments where needed on applicable runs so these things are still noted for the curious.
The mod team is wiling to try new ideas out for the leaderboard but sometimes it becomes apparent later that not every idea will work; thank you for your patience.
I have decided to remove the New York Vault/ Discs, Berlin amount of agents, and Dartmoor tokens/ file variables. After some reflection I do not think there is enough demand to justify it being separated out as a variable officially. I have left a comment on the previously submitted runs about if they are vault/ 10 agents/ etc. so people can still check these things if they wish.
These changes were not taken lightly, and thank you for your patience with the mod team.
What made you think commenting on a 4 year old post would change anything? You can give feedback to the official new Speedrun.com feedback form: https://www.speedrun.com/knowledgebase/supporthub/give-feedback
For the record, I'm also waiting for this change.
Added Sarajevo Six (PS4 exclusive) bonus missions at player request. The inclusion is a bit controversial due to platform exclusivity, but if you don't play on PS4 feel free to ignore. Will be adding past records that I know of to the leaderboard as well as more recent runs.
Deleted any% pro category because of general lack of interest (a mere 2 levels of Paris/ Sapienza had dedicated any% pro records). Don't want to keep moderating a dead category, and this is in line with the current policy of HITMAN 2 (2018) and HITMAN 3 (2021), which also do not use difficulty subcategories for any%.
We already held a poll and the vast majority of players were interested in allowing Peacock on the leaderboards to some capacity: https://strawpoll.com/44zvarz19/r
Furthermore, whether Peacock was used is clearly marked as a variable besides each run. You can easily go to Filter -> Servers -> Official if you dislike the Peacock runs, to make them stop showing up on a given leaderboard.
This policy has been in effect for awhile, but I will post it here for potential future clarification.
A historical problem with Hitman speedrunning is people not submitting runs, often due to forgetting to do it or not knowing the leaderboards existed here.
In the interest of having more complete and accurate leaderboards, the moderators will be submitting any public runs here on others' behalf, as is necessary. Moderators will ask permission before submitting any unlisted videos here.
People who do not want a particular run or runs here can make their displeasure known to one of the moderators here (my own social media links are on my profile), in which case the run will be anonymized (which is allowed by speedrun.com rules).
At a runner's request, I have added "kill all 10/11 agents" to Apex Predator (Berlin) as a variable (not subcategory), similar to the Data Discs/ Vault variable in Golden Handshake (New York). The variable is applied to both main and category extension leaderboards. Dartmoor/ New York data objectives (data tokens/ case file, data discs/ vault) have also been applied as variables to H3 Category extensions.
What is the point of disallowing players to bring guns if they can't fire them anyways?
Also, I'd like to see a bit more interest in this category first before considering adding it. At least 2-3 more people submitting runs on this category (in this thread if possible). Personally, I think this would make more than few levels very boring and linear/ slow to play, but I'm willing to be proven wrong.
New Default Category change: At runner request, we have made a "default loadout any start" category. We are keeping the existing "Default loadout/ Default NG+ start" and "Default loadout/ Default NG start" categories as well.
If confused about the rules for these categories, click on "View rules".
It does cost more time to review, the whole reason I removed any% extensions is because it was more trouble than it was worth.
The majority of any% submissions were slower than the SA extension submissions. This meant that all SA runs had to be tediously submitted to any% extensions categories as well to prevent false "WR" claiming.
This is besides the fact that a good majority of the community (both SA and any% runners) agreed that any% is best run with zero restrictions, and any% with extension restrictions defeats the point of any% to begin with.
All that said, if there is an influx of well-optimized (faster than SA records, at least) any% extension runs in the future, we may consider adding them back.
Some general pointers as a moderator of a somewhat unpopular game:
-
Your top priority should be finding/ building a community around the game. Fresh eyes on a route will do wonders to find stuff you couldn't have figured out on your own. Making a discord server for the game is usually the best, as you can chat rapidly that way.
-
Be proactive- often, there are runners for your game who just are not involved with speedrun.com for one reason or another. Go to their twitch chats, youtube comments, etc and encourage them to join in your community forum/ discord to contribute to discussion (don't be too pushy, of course).
-
It's good that you are aware of existing speedruns, like "Roythedragon". Be aware that you can (and should) submit runs from runners unaware of speedrun.com on their behalf. However, if a runner explicitly tells you to remove their run from the leaderboard, you should remove it or anonymize it. More info here: https://www.speedrun.com/knowledgebase/moderation-rules

Just because a game is less popular doesn't mean verification standards should be more lax. Murky rules and cheated top times can turn away new players just as much as excessively harsh verification rules. You need to strike a balance between competitive integrity and accessibility; stuff like handcams or requiring runners to stream is probably too much for an unpopular game.
-
In the same vein you ought to be cautious about making too many "glitch categories" and the like. Just because there can be a category for something doesn't mean there should; too many categories in an unpopular game will fracture the player base. If there isn't much interest in the "glitched" category, it may be better to just ban the glitches than to make a category no one plays. You can always create the category later if more interest picks up.
With a vote of 17 to 6 about a day later, will be allowing Peacock for future runs. If you use Peacock server in a run, make sure to mark the "Server version" variable as "Peacock" in the submission.
Poll on use of Peacock server for PC players: https://strawpoll.com/44zvarz19
In a nutshell, Peacock server allows PC players to get a rating screen and SA indicator even when not connected to IOI servers, and it also unlocks all items automatically.
