You can unmod yourself. Go into the edit game page, go down to moderators, and press the trash bin beside your name.
Edit: Ignore me, this only works for super mods
"Are the owners of games allowed to run or request games?"
Yes. There's no reason why a developer of a video game wouldn't be allowed to speedrun their own game, or request/moderate the game page for it on here. I can't think of any specific cases of this, but I know it's happened before.
"Would this game be accepted?"
Assuming I understand your games correctly, then I would say no. They're not really video games, they're more like tabletop RPG's in an old-school text-adventure format. I'm not exactly sure how speedruns for them would work in the first place, but in any case, on the game request page it says that "non-video game activities" won't be accepted.
If you want to use your main save you can make a backup of it before starting a run and then if a run dies you just copy the backup. Saves are stored in: <Steam-folder>/userdata/<user-id>/200260
Your post in the Pokemon Platinum forum was only two days ago, not 4 or 5 (you haven't even had an account on this website for that long).
Moderators are real people (and volunteers) who have lives outside of this website, and they aren't always able to check things every day. Inactivity isn't an issue here, one of the Summoner's mods was online 2 days ago, and 4 of the Platinum mods have been online in the last 24 hours. Just be patient, they'll get around to your runs/posts eventually (and if after a few weeks they still haven't, you can always try contacting them directly).
If you're trying to reset HQR you can just delete the save file and make a new one so that you can start from the beginning.
Considering the game exclusively uses autosaves, I doubt there's a way to disable them. What exactly were you hoping to accomplish by doing this?
The only thing I really think this would be useful for is for looking at WR progression, which you can already see in the statistics page.
@Gustavo.Predator They were online less than 24 hours ago, talk to them about it.
@scoagogo Have you tried contacting Plinkariac anyway? They've been online in the last week.
"as they aren't level runs"
What exactly makes a "world" run different from a "level" run? Semantics aside I'm pretty sure those are the exact same thing.
@Artemfokin "my game got rejected and the mods told me exactly why, the mods on this site aren't good"
This isn't really the right place to talk about this, but if you want that game on the site, do as they say. Request the game through the ROBLOX series forum here: https://www.speedrun.com/roblox/thread/0s0ct
@sztalu The mod is active, talk to them about it. Plenty of games don't need more than one moderator.
Quoted from the Request Game page: "At this time, we are not adding the following: Visual novels, short/trivial flash games, non-video game activities."
If the game isn't a video game, it's a visual novel, or it's ridiculously short or lacks gameplay depth (ie mash the space bar to win), it won't be added to the site. If you're not sure whether or not your game falls into one of those categories, it probably does.
Leaving them together under one game or splitting them into multiple games are both valid solutions in this situation. Personally I would probably lean towards leaving them together, but I know very little about the Spider-Man games and don't run them so my opinion on that isn't worth much.
If you haven't already, ask the community how they think it should be handled.
I think those are considered cheats since they disable challenges and achievements for the duration of your play session, so I'm gonna say no.
I'll add this in the rules as well.
If the game was properly rejected initially you would have received a notification regarding why it was rejected, however since it was added and later removed, I'm guessing there was no way to give you the rejection notification.
I'm not familiar with the series, but based on what you've described, I think the way I would handle it is to have a category on each game for its "HD" and "To Go" versions. I think that would be a lot clearer than lumping all of the mobile versions under one leaderboard.
@DXL4e One of the super mods was online 7 days ago. Have you tried contacting either of them to see if they'll promote you?
@Kirinth Mods aren't typically considered inactive until they've been offline for 3 weeks. Have you tried contacting them at all?
