Given how bad the readability on this font is, I refuse to believe someone picked it on purpose. I believe this might be a case of a custom font not loading correctly (or perhaps even an entire file with custom styles), thus forcing the page to use one of the default fonts.
@Merl_ I've set the homepage to show 15-20 runs for me, but I'm only seeing 9, so I think you're correct
@Dare If you resubmit the series under the "Hipster Whale" name, it'll probably get rejected again since, as @Quivico mentioned, the site is currently not accepting developer series.
If you resubmit the series under the "Crossy Road" name however, while also explaining that all three games have thesame name and have shared artstyle and characters, I don't see why it could get rejected.
The only caveat would be that it'll probably be added without a mod, since the admins are reluctant to add series mods due to series mods being able to bypass the request process and being able to add games/categories that might otherwise have been rejected.
Well, I don't know about you being a psycho, but you certainly seem determined :)
Welcome to the site!
@DragonX_YT how is that related to the original question?
OP registered 9 months ago. Let's take a look at his history on the site:
Runs: No runs whatsoever.
Posts:
- 1st post asks what payment system people used.
- 2nd post replies to a "Credit problems" thread, thanking for the site suggested.
- 3rd post talks about a server optimization tool (which is surprisingly on topic for that thread, but it's in a thread where OP was deleted, so possibly also a bot)
- 4th post talks about a casino, doing an advertisement of sorts with the name of the thread.
- 5th post talks about favorite fonts.
And that's all of it. None of his posts are even remotely related to speedrunning, with 3/5 of them having a common denominator in money. Now, you could either think this is a very confused person that comes to a speedrunning site only for financial advice or, my preferred explanation, that this is a bot.
OP is certainly welcome to prove me wrong though.
Getting back on topic, I think the reason people usually don't dabble on other alternative fonts can usually just be traced back to using the path of least resistance: people are more inclined to use a font that already comes installed with their OS of choice rather than go out of their way to install a new one. Bonus points if the font's actually the one selected by default when they're writing. If suddenly we were to get Windows 11 and it came with a different set of fonts, you'll probably get a few angry posts throughout the internet here and there, but I think a lot of people just wouldn't care much about it and use whatever's there.
In the case of coding in particular though, I think the reason devs don't use different styles is just to do with maintaining a standard I guess. If you want to show some line of code on your screen to a co-worker, it'll probably be easier to read if you use the same font as him rather than if you use a different custom font. I'm not saying the custom font will be inherently harder to read, but rather that if you use the same font he'll find it easy due to being accustomed to it. With quarantine this is probably less common due to home office and whatnot, but once you've begun using a font there's not much incentive to change either.

This one has already been reported, but it keeps making more threads. Please get rid of it
@Charburger Mind you, this run was done on Bizhawk mGBA, meaning it's done on emulator (PC), which allows you to just use video recording software to capture your PC's screen.
Karoshi Suicide Salaryman is a very short speedgame and the controls are pretty fluid, so it might fit the bill for what you are looking for
You should probably post this on the game's leaderboard forum to have a better chance of getting the attention of the other runners.
I discovered you can start the brush in 2nd gear right from the get-go, netting me a 000 ms WR. Any% is truly dead
