Never mind the toxicity, the run being 13 seconds long would probably be enough to get it rejected on the grounds of being short and trivial

@Lieutenant_Boo The original message was:
Hey, a german Nintendo youtuber made his own discord server and his mods are a lil toxic. They ban you instantly if you do 1 single thing wrong. So here comes my idea: A few of us did ban speedruns and its really fun. The world record is by 13 seconds and we are speedrunning everyday Can you ad it please? Its better than some weird flash game. Our community is slowly growing and we are trying to change the behavior of the mean mods. Please help us (Its mostly for fun)
PS: The OP also made a duplicate thread with the exact same message.

I believe it was temporarily removed in an effort to manage the high amount of traffic the site's been getting lately, so I expect that it'll eventually come back.

Bonne chance!

Well, apparently "tomorrow" ended up meaning "next week", but sure enough I got around to making the recolors for the spidey armor pickup! :)

You can see them here: • 1st place2nd place3rd place

The fine details of the icons get lost given how small they end up being, but they look pretty decent to me at least.

Again, same as before, feel free to use as you see fit!

Given that this request is for the Minecraft: Bedrock Edition leaderboard, please post this request on their leaderboard forum instead.

@FitterSpace I completely agree with your ideas and I believe they should be implemented. I've seen exactly the same issue at the Spider-Man 2000 IL leaderboard, and I've been scouting for possible workarounds to use in the meantime:

 • One option is to make a single "level" that contains categories for all levels, as seen on the Star Wars Battlefront II IL leaderboard. This way it forces people to enter the fake level and view the leaderboard like you would for a full-game run board.
 • The second option is to use categories instead of sub-categories for levels. For example, if you have Any% for levels and sub-categories for platform, you'd now ditch the sub-categories and have an Any% category for each platform instead. Note that you can do this for ILs only, leaving the full-game leaderboard with sub-categories and the ILs divided by categories on the general IL board.

If your game only runs 1-2 categories for the ILs and you don't have a lot of sub-categories, I think the second option works best and is manageable, but if you already have a lot of categories/sub-categories it grows exponentially, in which case I'd definetely go with the first one.

That being said, it's a bit ridiculous that we need to do this in the first place to have a functional IL board, so I really hope your ideas are implemented.

Je comprends, mais ce que nous devons vraiment savoir, c'est s'il s'agit de "Java Edition" ou de "Bedrock Edition".

@cronbone Does the survival mode of the game end when you reach the level cap or does it keep going indefinetely? Because if the game still continues on then I'm afraid it's probably not useable as a marker for game completion.

You could still try sending in the request for the game using that as your completion marker, but I'd keep my expectations low about it.

Minecraft does have it's fair share of weird categories (and anyone that tells you otherwise is lying to themselves), but they still have their main category, Any%, which requires you to complete the game in any way you can. This is most likely the category they started out with (and the one they used as an example for the game request when it first began), and then once the game was added to the site and they had built a community, they started adding the other funky categories.

Noone's saying you won't be able to make a miscellaneous category to speedrun up to level 10 or up to killing a certain boss, but for your game request in particular you'll need to showcase a run that goes through the game from start to finish/completion of the game. You can work on the other categories once the game's accepted.

I was about to write a somewhat lengthy post on why this belonged on the Kirby Super Star forums, but given you've already created this thread there I guess we're ok on this end.

I agree with @Timmiluvs on this one. Even in the case that a game hasn't had any new runs for a long period of time, no matter how long the period, they still serve a purpose, which is to keep a record of all speedruns that've been done for the game up until that point. If you erase those leaderboards, those games effectively go back to square one, and a new runner would be none the wiser and might think noone has run them before, which would be false.

Besides, if leaderboards start getting erased for inactivity, other currently active games would just start fearing for the future of their records and more likely than not would shift to other, more permanent alternatives, so this would actually hurt the site more than it would help.

As @Seydie already explained in this other thread you made, your request was rejected because the admins would like to see a full-game run. This means you need to find or define what constitutes the completion of the game you are requesting, and then you need to send a video of you doing a speedrun until the very end.

Speedrunning up to a certain level can't be defined as completion of the game because it's arbitrary really. For it to be considered complete you'd need something from the game itself acknowledging the end of the game; it could be a pop-up saying you won, or something that says you complete 100% of the game, etc. These markers are defined by the game itself (ie. not arbitrary) and thus are perfectly fine to use.

The thing is, the translator doesn't really have much to work with to distinguish whether it's a formal or informal "you", so I guess it just sticks to formality as the "lesser of two evils", since this way it will cause less problems for people using it for work and people using it casually can just ignore it and peg it as "one of those translator quirks".

As long as it gets the main point accross, I'm A-OK with it tbh.

My nickname is basically a mix between my lifetime nickname irl and my tendency to act older than I really am when I was younger.

Even though that tendency has probably started shifting the other way as years go by, I feel too lazy to change the nick, so it's gonna stay like this for a while :)
