Hi everyone, i just started my own GTA:SA ANy% Speedrun and i got a few questions about it (pls dont hate).

• Is there a way to get your GTA to 1920x... resolution (i know silent patch isnt allowed), because im using two monitors and the game is f¤¤¤ing with my setup and it is really annoying.
• Beach Party: if been running it a few times, and its kind of hard for me to find any gang members (only ballas around sometimes). Is there a safe way to get a homie? time wasted on this segment is getting out of hand...

EDIT: someone told me that u can change the resolution in the gta files, my question: Is this allowed for speedrunning (didnt test it yet)

I hope you enjoy learning/running the game. I can only comment regarding the beach party skip on Life's a Beach. It's typical that Grove street members will not spawn when Ballas are in view. You'll need to despawn (drive away and flick the camera) the members to allow Grove members to spawn near the beach party. We take a very specific route towards the beach party. This ensures we spend more time in Grove street territory rather than Ballas territory to increase the chances of Grove gang members spawning rather than the undesired spawns (i.e., Ballas).

Take a look at the WR or any run from the past 12 months to understand the route we take. Alternatively, you could practice a different route to see if you can find a more consistent spawn for Grove members.

why would you mod your game instead of installing v1.01 which CRASH LESS anyway

I´m using the downgraded steam version (1.0). im pretty fine with it, no crashes anyways. just sometimes, this stupid mouse bug occurs (didnt saw it the last few days though). I´ve heard that most runners use the retail version (and the german version is some kind of broke, dont know anymore). What are the reasons behind this, couldn´t find anything.

http://www.prnwatch.com/prio/ this saves you from having to set the affinity setting every time. You still set it via the Task Manager, but prio saves it in the background. MisterPost has also said the game has never crashed on him with this setting, I don't know more about it.
