Now using Hydra could be theoretically even faster than NRG but buildings, trees and lampposts would make it too challenging, I guess.

This only works if drive into the marker first and then into him, otherwise mission fail

Start los desperados with OM 0 then do this.

Skips gang territories and eotl part 1

Problems: The timing for starting the mission again is fairly precise but it is always the same. I think the marker can trigger at different times but doesnt look big enough to cause any problems. Start the mission again about 2 seconds after last subtitle disappears.

Gal sometimes dies when detonating. To stop this you can park the car on top of the vagos guy then respawn the voodoo.

eotl part 3 is very weird and needs more testing. Need to alt tab after screen fades then answer a phonecall. seems to be working though

Time save is still about 1:30 even if the dupe takes 5 minutes to set up (about 1 minute if getting some minigun ammo) Very rough estimate though.

2013 los desperados is back (if you do man strats and skip g4l that is). HYPE- And now we do the drive twice. A good back up strat i found for when the homies jump out is disband the gang and recruit them again, it fixes their AI. Also driving on train tracks to avoid explosions doesn't seem to prevent them from jumping out. Edit: you should also kill the homies to prevent them from killing the last dude

Looking at the end of Pt2 I wonder if it is possible to glitch out of the building in one of those rooms and get on the ouside and run to the marker?

It's easy to get out of bounds in EoTL Tirean, you can grenade jump through a non-solid ceiling and over a wall.

EOTL2 has checkpoints you have to pass, skips are impossible.

IIRC, you need 2-3 golds in Driving School which takes about 1 minute. You can do that afer Yay, I guess. Re-loading resets driving skill xp (progress to the "level up") so that is not a nice strat but should be faster.

I did some guessing and came up with roughly 5 minutes saved, so that's nice. ^^

Slightly better setup for starting the mission again

I did it wrong and still got it. Try to park so cj is in the marker when he gets out of car. Spam attack while getting out and close the door. How many satchels do we have at this point? probably need to pick some up

Edit: Doing it exactly the same as in the video is better. Exiting the car directly into the marker doesnt work

Haha, that's a cool setup. Something like "fire x shots after that audio cue" should be simpler, I think. Even if it is not, it does not risk "instacycling" - that the mission starts instantly after the door closing.

I know that the ak has different gaps between shots (2 - 3 of "pause" between every time he shoots), but maybe they even out. That would be good. Or use the shotgun or missiles or anything.

What I would check - if I could - is if the audio is indeed the only thing that matters (maybe other things determine when the cs ends). That is very likely but unproven.

I did not understand how respawning the low-rider works, can you explain, please?

There is some mystery strat in the special vehicles community where you just park your car on some guy in Mountain Cloud Boys and when entering the tuning shop he dies - afaik, the reason is unknown, so you could test if it works with that guy and the house.

Edit: the last part of the mission is "wait until timera reaches 3000ms, then jump to mission passed", but there is a progress_variable that has to be equal to 4 for that to be executed. Since, afaik, all variables are set to 0 when mission starting, if you restart the mission before the timer is at 3000ms, it does not work. The missions starts after the 500ms fade (with the "Los Desperados" printed on the screen after entering the marker. The mission has to finish in that time, if it finishes too early, it does not start LD since riot_total_passed_missions does not equal 2 but 3. After the fade, it cannot pass anymore and you get two LD instances.

The LD marker is checked every 250 ms, so in that light, this thing seems quite precise to me... But with reference points and practice, it should be 99% consistent. I feel I must have made a mistake, though. Is it really that precise?

So I parked the car on him (no satchel charge). Entered the house and he died but I was teleported to the end of the mission in the interior world lol wtf?

I think it is that precise. It always works if you enter at the right time :)

Yeah, NPCs die when there is a vehicle parked on them and you go to the interior world, and depending how a mission progress after that, CJ might be teleported to a specific place. This is how a trick to mod and change the color of any vehicle in the game was discovered:

Holy shit that's cool Rhans, what happens if you recolour a Hydra, or The Truth's Mothership?

Colors do not show on the Hydra unfortunately, but you can install some mods on it like wheels, exhausts, misc (only available when modding a Remingtion on Loco Low), hidraulics (useful to have on a Hydra because allows to switch from hover mode to flight mode instantly by pressing the horn button, which is a lot faster than doing to normal way), and nitro (this its useless). About a Camper, yes, you can give any Camper in the game the Mothership paintjob, and create unique varitions of this paintjob, as the paintjob is affected by the Campers color. A Camper has 3 visible colors, with this trick you can change 2 colors and put this paintjob on it, but not the third color.

Also, if you want to use a method that allows to mod vehicles that are only available at a later game, still not during Mountain Cloud Boys, you can also do this:

slow. takes like 3:30 to get it vertical bird skip plus this is slower by about 2 minutes? idk hard to time it

Changes to the GTA:SA leaderboard

The GTA:SA community has been deteriorating over a long period of time. Many top runners are not currently present on the leaderboard. This issue has not been seriously addressed yet, but an attempt will be made to remedy it now.

As of this news post, the San Andreas leaderboard will function in
