How do I record or set up Livesplit in a way that it doesn't overlap the game I'm playing?

Depends where you want it exactly, are you playing in fullscreen/do you have two monitors?

A lot of SA runners play the game in 4:3, which allows more room on either side for Livesplit.

You can use the horizontal layout for Livesplit. Rightclick > Edit layout... > Horizontal

@Denzal How do you run GTA SA in 4:3? When i try and bring the resolution down it stays in 16:9

If you play in windowed mode, 4:3 resolutions should make the windowed game 4:3. Or is it still 16:9 in OBS?
