So I recently got my run rejected, and the reason was that the game audio needed to be heard. It sounds simple, but minor problem, the music gets copyrighted on YouTube. What should I do now?
Reupload the video with game audio unlisted.
Edit: I understand that this won't stop YouTube from copyrighting the music, but unless your channel is eligible for monetization, getting copyrighted isn't that big of a deal. (correct me if im wrong tho)
Other runners are able to upload and submit their runs here even when YouTube copyrights them.
I am monetized on twitched and I don't want my VOD's getting striked which could lead to the deletion of my channel. I can re-run all of my old runs to solve the problem but I am going to have to do it without game audio since it will be streamed. Is there any alternative for me? postdate: I can't record and stream at the same time so muting the display audio on stream is not an option either for me.
Correction from ChaseRuiz, When you have monetization you are eligible to have copyright claim be a lot more effective towards your account. And if you don't have over the limits to monetize video's copyright claim is much less important and something they are false.
I am extremely excited to announce that our website for tracking speedruns of rated user platformer levels is finally open!
