Hello everybody,
I'd like to first announce a new DSBB speedrunning game developed by @TheSn1p. This can be accessed from the Resources tab, or here. The 2020-2024 version of DSBB has its own game link, having differences to the 2025 version of the game.
The game features a millisecond precise timer which currently supports Solo Tower% and Win% category. To use this in a speedrun (you still must record footage as evidence), use commands "/mode tower" and "/mode soloprivate" in chat to get the timers to work as intended.
Provided by @xXGalaxyRadorXx (currently one of the DSBB developers), you can also choose different maps to speedrun on, as well as equipping themes by using "/map Name" and "/theme Name" (Note: The map names are case-sensitive). To see an exhaustive list for each, enter "/maplist" and "/themelist". Moreover, the rest of commands are in chat when first loading in, with more on the topbar as a button UI.
Additionally, some maps are not available in private servers in the original game, so it is now possible to do speedruns on those maps. There is also an additional keybind/command for map resetting.
Other announcements: the rules for Solo Private Tower% has changed. The new rule states that using VIP settings to remove teams is allowed (i.e. map manipulation), but you cannot remove your own team, nor the team you intend to destroy normally by using bomb and rockets. For example if my team is Red, and I choose to destroy Green team, I can only remove Blue/Yellow team off the VIP settings.
As a result, runs do not have to start on a clean map, so a run may include footage of a destroyed base, and the run will still count as long as a different base is being destroyed. This is seen in existing footage before the new rule change but this has not been clarified. If possible, please show the VIP settings (done on the original game) and the bridge at the end of the footage to ensure no further modifications have been done on the run.
Thirdly, the discord server link has been changed to Doomspire Gamers, where the active community stands. The original link was a server to Roblox Speedrunning, but over time DSBB has grown its own community.
Finally, the level category "Edge%" has its rules updated, specifically the timing of rules and how to make a run easier for moderators to time.
Thank you for reading.
