-Difficulty 5 (or the highest difficulty you are comfortable with). This is to maximise how competent the ai drivers are. Having to overtake the ai multiple times in a race is no good. Exceptions to this are for DNF skip routing. -All assists turned off, especially ABS. You can slow down significantly faster with ABS turned off. Exceptions to this are gears and damage. Automatic or manual gears are personal preference, however automatic gears will need good throttle management to use efficiently. Obviously turn damage completely off.

Language: -Choose Spanish. Why? When doing dialogue skip, Spanish audio files seem to cut out faster and for some reason speeds up loads when returning to the front end compared to English. Current theory is that because the Spanish speakers are faster, the audio files are smaller and can load faster. Evidence for this can be found by comparing runs between different languages when doing Gymkhana Academy is Season 1. Spanish saves around 3-4 seconds in that section alone. -To set your language (Steam):

1. Right-click Dirt 3 in your Steam library
2. Select "Properties"
3. Select the "Language" tab
4. Select "Español" from the drop down menu
5. Launch the game
