Digimon World - any% beginner-guide by Sparsie

Hi, this is a guide for speedrunning Digimon World with the purpose of explaining the run to complete beginners and to make getting into running this game a little bit easier. This route is fairly safe and flexible and should allow you to complete a run pretty reliably, just don't expect great times right away. This game has a ton of kinks and mechanics that require quite a bit of knowledge to optimally work with. What I'm trying to say here is: The game can screw you over at pretty much any point of the run if you don't have much experience in running it. This route is supposed to help you get around that and get used to the game.

READ THIS: http://pastebin.com/xSagG0xi

Also, feel free to watch some runs, take some notes. Here's runs to check out:

1:30:57 - I did thorough commentary on this one. The route will be different from this guide, but you should learn a lot about the game nonetheless.

[example run of this route; work in progress]

Choice of platform is a huge deal for this game. Again, consult the FAQ linked above for more info if you haven't read it yet.

Since a lot of people don't have access to a Playstation 2 and the NTSC-U disc of Digimon World, this guide is written with emulator in mind, which means it won't include console-exclusive strats. Make sure to use ePSXe 1.7, if you intend to submit your time to the Digimon-Leaderboards. You can obviously still completely follow this guide if you do play on console.

Route:

Start the timer at confirming the first Textbox after "File City" loading-screen. After the intro, get items from Tokomon inside of Jijimon's Home. Go to the Green Gym, train 3x Speed, and 3x Off. Interrupt training early with Triangle. Agumon will be hungry after the first training. After the fifth training he will poop, and immediately want to eat again. Let him poop on the ground, it will be your first intentional Care Mistake. If you did it right, Agumon should not be hungry after this feed and you should have 1x Meat left in your inventory. Now, enter the screen south of you.

recruit Agumon - 1 Prosperity-Point = PP → enter the screen, hold "down" to fight Agumon. If you moved, fed and trained exactly as I did in my runs, you should get him to 0 HP at about 00:02:56. Don't worry if you don't get that at first, it takes a bit of practice. Just carry on towards towards Coela-Point for now. If you see a DigiMushroom lying around anywhere, ignore it, they are not needed for the run. Let Coelamon take you to Tropical Jungle. He only appears in the afternoon, which is why we trained at the start of the run. Pick up the Medium Recovery in the PC near the small bridge and go towards Betamon.

recruit Betamon - 1 PP → easiest recruitment in the run, just talk to him, then head to Amida-Forest.

recruit Centarumon - 2 PP → watch this video:

As soon as you enter the Maze and skip a turn, you will get shot and get damaged equally to half of your Max-HP. If your current HP is less than that, you will get sent to the beginning of the maze and can't enter it again until you heal. Random items will be appearing in the maze, if you see an Autopilot, pick it up. After recruiting Centarumon go back towards Coelamon's beach. Agumon will be getting sleepy soon, but do not sleep yet. Do not feed him yet either.

recruit Coelamon - 2 PP → trigger Coelamon again, and he will join the city. If you found an Autopilot, use it here. If you didn't, walk back to the city through Native Forest. Talk to Coelamon twice to open the shopping menu.

buy 13x Meat 03x Autopilots 01x Various 02x MP Floppy fill up with sm. Recovery (~06) - press "square" to do this ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

After you finished shopping, go towards Drill Tunnel. Feed Agumon on the way. Trigger the Drimogemon-battle.

fight Drimogemon → Heal whenever Agumon gets to about ~430 HP or less, as Megaton Punch can kill you from there. Try to not use an MP Floppy if you can help it, Agumon's "Spit Fire" needs 30 MP. After the battle, leave the room, go east past the three Goburimon. Talk to the Drimogemon that's digging a tunnel. He gives you two choices, pick the 2nd one to save a few frames. Accidently picking the first one is not a big deal. The purpose of talking to him is to trigger the opening of Meramon's Cave in 5 Days, and avoiding having to carry the dirt to the outside the cave. Now, use an Autopilot. Once you arrive in the city, let Agumon sleep.

Training for Digivolution → Enter the Green Gym. Agumon will digivolve on Day 4 and you will have to train Offense until then. Your goal is to get Birdramon, so Agumon needs 15-25 weight, 3-4 Care Mistakes, and more than 100 Speed. Two of these aren't a problem at all: 100 Speed we already have, and the weight will be fulfilled automatically if Agumon is properly fed whenever he is hungry. Left are Care Mistakes, which can be a bit of a headache, as there is no indicator when you make one. You can only make up to 4 Care Mistakes, after the 5th one you will be eligible for the Meramon-digivolution. Pooping on the ground is an obvious Care Mistake. Some of the more less obvious ones: running from a battle, training while hungry, training (too much) while exhausted, training while sleepy. "Training while hungry" is the most likely one for the speedrun to occur: Whenever Agumon is hungry, there is a possibility of him wanting to eat 2x Meat, instead of just one. So if you don't pay attention and train over the 2nd meat, you will get a Care Mistake without even noticing. This can be avoided by waiting about half a second for Agumon to start his "Happy-Animation" after feeding, which signals that he is finished eating. Another thing to note is, that Agumon will usually eat after 4 hours (so 4 trainings) from the last feed, and always after the first training in the morning.

Basically, your training should play out roughly like this (feed whenever hungry in-between): -train until poop, leave gym to take the toilet -rest at Punimon inside of Jijimon's Home three times -leave Jijimon's house, talk to Yuramon (triggers the Invisible Bridge) -back to training, poop on the ground for the next poop (CM) -train until sleepy, sleep (Agumon might show exhaustion, don't worry about it) -train until poop, take the toilet -rest three times -back to training, poop on the ground for the next poop (CM) -train until sleepy, sleep -train until digivolution (train over the 2nd feed on the last day)

If you got Meramon, you made an additional Care Mistake. After getting Birdramon, train Offense for the rest of the day and sleep. You don't have to worry about Care Mistakes or feeding anymore. If Birdramon gets exhausted, don't bother with resting and just train over it. After waking up, train Offense four more times, then switch to Speed and train until it's almost noon on Day 6 (yellow dot on the bottom of the clock). Leave the Green Gym towards Grey Lord's Cemetery to continue the run.

recruit Bakemon - 2 PP → touch Bakemon and run back to the entry, he will automatically talk to you. Answer his questions with "Yes, Yes, No" to recruit him, head towards Birdramon's elevator in the Canyon.

At this point, you have two choices: You either fight the SandYanmon in front of the elevator in hopes to learn the move "Spinning Shot" (and reset the run if you don't learn it), or you head straight to fighting Birdramon and hope you'll learn a different move throughout the run. One thing I have to point out here: It is completely possible to do this whole run with JUST the basic Spit-Fire move. So, if you are new to this game/speedrun, I would highly advise you to just run with whatever move you get and not bother with resetting runs for Spinning Shot. Even if you DO get it, there's a good chance it would be wasted since you don't have the experience to make proper use of it yet to get a good time anyways. Run with Spit-Fire for now, and hope you learn a better move later. I will outline all of the moves you can learn in the run and how useful they are with a (completely subjective) ranking:

  1. Spinning Shot (SandYanmamon, Patamon) - best move for this run
  2. Prominence Beam (Birdramon) - still very good, used to be the strat for this speedrun
  3. Magma Bomb (Meramon, Ogremon, Greymon, Ninjamon) - definitely use if you don't have Spinning Shot or Prominence Beam
  4. Wind Cutter (Patamon) - decent move, cheap and fast
  5. Fire Tower (Ogremon's Agumon): still better than Spit Fire decent, can stun enemies
  6. Spit Fire (default move)
  7. Red Inferno (Greymon): I personally do not like this move, very MP-intensive and fairly low damage for the cost

  1. Heat Laser (Meramon, Ogremon's Agumon): complete trash; cost-intensive, low damage and flattens enemies which costs time; do not use
  2. Hurricane (SandYanmamon): do not use, insane cost, insane startup-time [Meltdown (MetalGreymon)]: should you not have P-Beam or Spinning Shot and learn this, use it for the final battle recruit Birdramon - 2 PP

→ enter the elevator and "Press Up". Step on Birdramon's nest and wait a second to trigger the battle. Since you're most likely going into this with Spit Fire as your move, this is one of the hardest battles in the run, and one of the most likely battles to die on. Prominence Beam will do a lot of damage to you, heal asap whenever you get hit and try to keep your HP as high as possible without wasting sm. Recoveries. Use your finisher's after getting hit or blocking if you want to be completely safe, you will most likely need three of them to win. After you beat her, Birdramon takes you back to the city and opens a fast-travel-system, which we are gonna make use of later. Head straight back to Drill Tunnel now. Meramon's Cave should now be opened, so go there and fight him.

recruit Meramon - 2 PP → the worst thing that can happen in this battle is that you get flattened by Heat Laser. Optimally, you kill him in three hits (assuming you have Spinning Shot), most of the time it will require four. After the battle, pick up Meramon's Off.Chip and the one in the PC, as well as the Medicine next to it. The lava in the cave is gone now, so you can access the lower levels. Talk to the Drimogemon drilling a tunnel-exit to make him recruitable in three days. Go further into the cave and pick up the Protection, the Off.Chip and the QuickChip. Go one screen left and pick up the S.Def.disk. Feed 2x Off.Chips and the QuickChip to Birdramon, use an Autopilot and go shopping.

vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv shop: sell Medicine, Off.Chip, S.Def.disk

buy 02x Autopilots 03x Various 11x MP Floppy 05x Med. Recoveries fill and reduce by 10 - sm. Recovery (~26) - press "square", then hold "circle" and press "down" once to do this ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Talk to Yuramon again to trigger the Ogremon-event, then fly to the Canyon and start the battle by leaving the screen at the south and re-entering it. The fight is really tedious (like pretty much every multi-battle in the run), as you will get interrupted a lot. If you end up with your finisher, you would preferably use it after two Digimon are already taken out. After the battle, pick up the HP-Chip, then take the elevator to the lower part of the canyon. If you are confident about Goburimon-skip, you would sleep right here. You probably aren't though, so don't sleep for now :P Enter Ogre Fortress, specifically the room with the three Agumon.

Perform Agumon-Skip

→ Just hold "up" after entering the room, until your character keeps walking into the fridge at the same spot. Now hold "down" for a bit, (check the video for this) and align your characters feet with the correct spot on the ground. You don't need to do the "down+left"-tap I'm doing in the video, it's just to provide another visual cue. After you're on the correct spot, simply hold "up+right" to walk past the Agumon. Sleep in the next room if you haven't done so yet. Walk near Ogremon to start another battle, it's pretty much the same as the first one. After the battle you once again pick up the HP-Chip, then enter the elevator.

Perform Goburimon-Skip

→ This one is a little tricky and requires a lot of practice, as opposed to Agumon-Skip. You definitely need to get a feel for it and it will require a bit of practice. This saves roughly 40 seconds so it is not as important as Agumon-Skip, so if you aren't able to get it, don't worry about doing it for now. The video shows the inputs used. You begin by holding the up and right directions while entering the screen until you hit the wall. You then pause, and then switch to holding left, before unpausing. You then want to run left and then stop when Hiro is on the right side of the circular "crack" on the floor, shown here http://imgur.com/hyxIp4x . You then went to run down until the position shown in the video (aim to have the "cracks" on the floor by Hiro's feet, shown here http://imgur.com/lvD3lL1 ). You then want to walk down 2 steps, and then switch to holding up and left to always get past the Goburimon. If you're not doing this for now, just fight the Goburimon.

After you got past him, walk over the bridge to trigger the Shellmon-cutscene. Now, if you did the Goburimon-skip, talk to Goburimon from behind to start the battle and immediately choose "Run", to get back to the elevator. If you fought him instead of doing the skip, just walk back to the elevator. Take the elevator back down to Ogre Fortress, which makes Shellmon recruitable. Feed one of the HP-Chips, then use an Autopilot.

recruit Shellmon - 2 PP → fly back to the Canyon once more, this time walk north past the elevator to get to Freezeland, now exit the screen south-west and talk to Shellmon. Pick up the Def.Chip, it's in the PC next to Shellmon. Go back into Freezeland right away, walk to the Whamon-screen. The only screen you should really have trouble with here, is the one with the top-down-view and the two IceDevimon running at you. The trick is to just hold "up" for the entire screen, and you won't get it. Keep in mind that this only works with the IceDevimon, if you have Hyogamon, the day-time-enemy for that screen, this start does not work. It should always be IceDevimon anyways though, so don't worry too much about it.

recruit Whamon - 2 PP → talk to Whamon. He will take you to Secret Beach Cave, and the next Ogremon-battle starts. This is one of the harder fights in the run, as the Agumon are now replaced by a Gabumon and, most importantly, a WaruSeadramon. His Aurora Freeze does insane damage to Birdramon, don't hesitate to use a few Medium Recoveries in this one to prevent dieing. After the battle, Whamon will be recruited and allows you to visit Factorial Town. For now, you will just be taken back to Freezeland. Use an Autopilot.

recruit Greymon - 2 PP → enter Jijimon's Home and talk to him once to trigger the Greymon-battle, this is possible after having at least 15 PP. Leave the house to fight him. After a fairly straightforward battle, Greymon will be recruited. Pick up the Off.Chip, then go shopping once more:

vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv shop: sell HP-Chip, Def.Chip

buy 11x Meat 11x Autopilots 04x Various 18x MP Floppy 04x Med. Rec fill up with Sm. Rec. (~41) ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Enter Centarumon's Hospital. Talking to him triggers Unimon. You will also need to rest a few times here, since the deeper part of Factorial Town needs to be entered at a specific timing, about 5 seconds before/after the clock jumps to noon. If you are confident in your movement and sure about not getting any encounters (and haven’t gotten one since sleeping in Ogre Fortress), rest two times in here. Otherwise, rest one time. Then head towards Mt. Panorama through Native Forest.

recruit Unimon - 2 PP → Unimon was already triggered by Centarumon, so all you need to do now is talk to him and feed him a Small Recovery. Afterwards, head to the north-eastern screen and trigger the first Vademon-scene by walking up to the circle on the ground. Recruiting Vademon requires three of these cutscenes, and you will be getting the 2nd one right now as well. So Autopilot, and check Shellmon's bulletin-board for the "UFO"-message. Then walk back to the screen in Mt.Panorama and trigger the 2nd scene. Autopilot once again, then enter Factorial Town.

fight Giromon → as mentioned earlier, the Guardromon-screen must be entered about 5 seconds before/after the clock jumps to noon, to make them disappear. Progress towards Giromon, pick up the HP-Chip and the MP-Chip along the way. Immediately feed the HP-Chip and, if you haven't done so yet, Greymon's Off.Chip. Just hold "up+left" in the screen before Giromon, to avoid the Geremon (yellow Numemon). The Giromon battle is really annoying. Not only does he have access to D.G. Dimension, which is the move with the highest base power in the game, he also has two techs that can flatten your Digimon, so keep your Various' ready. Giromon will drop a Def.Chip, pick it up. Sometimes, Giromon will die in such a way that you are unable to get this chip, which is really unfortunate but not necessarily a run-killer. Just carry on if that happens. Walk back through Factorial Town, and talk to Andromon.

recruit Numemon - 1 PP → after talking to Andromon, enter the Sewers and talk to Numemon to initiate a battle with him. In 95% of the runs that get here, this will be a quick one-shot. On some rare occasion, Birdramon's attack will get blocked by Numemon, or it simply won't attack. That gives Numemon the chance to use "Ultimate Poop Hell", which usually flattens your Digimon. Make sure you are fully healed by the end of this battle. Pick up the MP-Chip, and go back to Andromon, who now opens the path to Gear Savanna.

recruit Elecmon - 1 PP --> enter Gear Savanna and simply talk to Elecmon three times. He will damage your Digimon each time you do this, and will be recruited after the third time. Carry on towards Patamon.

recruit Patamon - 1 PP → since this route is getting Leomon over Kokatorimon, we're also gonna be recruiting Patamon over Gabumon. Simply talk to him and beat him three times to recruit him, then head one screen south to Biyomon.

recruit Biyomon - 1 PP

→ This part is straight up random, giving a 1/3 chance each attempt. Follow the steps in the video . Talk to Biyomon and follow it to the bottom of the screen, where it will again run away from you. If Biyomon runs up or up-right, follow exactly what happens in the video above. Do that, and your Birdramon will go after Biyomon. Biyomon will now run to one of the three edges of the screen that it is currently not standing at. If you get lucky, it will run to you and be instantly recruited. If it runs somewhere else, you will have to try again until you get it. The fastest way to do this is by running the to the left and back to the right, as shown in the video.

If Biyomon runs to the right after speaking to her, instead do the strats shown in this video. A VERY important thing to note is how after speaking to Biyomon, you go slightly to the right, before walking down. This avoids a very likely softlock to occur, which will end your run completely if it does happen.

Note that although these videos have been done on the Japanese version with Bakemon, the same strats apply. After the recruitment, head to the screen east of you. Hold "up+right" to avoid the Sharmamon and enter Trash Mountain.

recruit Sukamon - 1 PP → pick up the Old Fishrod after the Sukamon-cutscene, then talk to the Sukamon standing closest to the MP-training. He has three textboxes, after confirming the third one, he counts as recruited. Train MP 2-3 times to get Birdramon sleepy and sleep. After waking up, train two more times to set up the correct timing for Seadramon later in the run. Use an Autopilot and go shopping one last time.

vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv shop: sell: 2x MP-Chip, Def.Chip

buy:
04x Various 21x MP Floppy fill up with Med.Rec. (~25) ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

recruit Ninjamon - 2 PP → after shopping, head towards the Digimon-Bridge through Native Forest. Since you recruited a member of the Secret Shop in the form of Numemon, Ninjamon will now trigger as soon as you step on the bridge. Fight him and pick up his QuickChip, then go to Kunemon.

recruit Kunemon - 1 PP → feed Kunemon a piece of Meat and beat him up. He drops an MP-Chip, but you should just leave it, it is not needed for the run. Head on screen south and one screen west to Palmon.

recruit Palmon - 1 PP → another quick battle, and a Brain-Chip you're going to leave on the ground. Enter the screen south-west of you, Dragon Eye Lake.

recruit Seadramon - 2 PP

→ This is another big, big run-killer. First of all, Seadramon will only appear at certain times of the day. The yellow dot of the clock should be right between the blue and purple part right now, that's the hour that he appears on. Follow the movement in the video above, moving up until Hiro's head is roughly here (http://imgur.com/rcYAS46). Run to the left until you reach the edge, then switch to up-left until you reach the edge, then run left again. Select the Fishing Rod and throw your Meat in this rough area (http://imgur.com/JRaynGS) (be careful not to put it too far to the right though, as Seadramon may end up ignoring it). Make sure you do NOT change the direction you throw the line in, as that will likely ruin the setup. If a pink heart does not show up, and Seadramon has not taken the bait when it swims past, it is likely you are either too far left or right, or the setup has not worked. If the latter occurs, re-enter the screen and try again.

Every time Seadramon passes the bait, there's a 20% chance he will bite. If he doesn't bite, you're just going to have to wait until he makes another round and hope he bites then, costing roughly 18 seconds. Once he bit the bait, it will start "bouncing" a certain number of times. You have to guess how many times the bait will bounce, and then press X on the last bounce. If you guess too little bounces, you will get the message "Too Fast! But I still got my bait!". If you wait too long on the last bounce, you will get the message "They took my bait!" and you will have to throw out a new piece of meat. Generally, pressing too fast is much better than pressing too late, because Seadramon will pass the bait again immediately and might give you another chance.

Once you have it hooked, all you need to do is hold X and hope you bring it to the shore. If it breaks the line, just cast the line back to where it was and hope for the best again!

Select the first option when he talks to you after catching him, and he will count as recruited; even though Seadramon has no recruiting message, he is worth 2 PP. After the dialogue, you will be taken to Beetle Land. Enter the screen north of you.

recruit Kabuterimon - 2 PP → enter the right-hand house first and talk to the Kabuterimon left of the entrance. Select the second option to recruit him, then go the left house.

recruit Kuwagamon - 2 PP → talk to the Kuwagamon furthest in the back, next to the treadmill. Again, select the second option to recruit him. Feed the Quick Chip you got from Ninjamon earlier and Autopilot. Enter Factorial Town again.

recruit Andromon - 3 PP → Andromon has finished his data-collection and is now recruitable. Make sure to talk to him twice! The first time you talk to him, you will only get a short dialogue, the actual recruitment happens when you talk to him a second time. If you're short by 3 PP later, then yeah... there's a good chance you forgot Andromon :P Anyways, head back towards Giromon. The Guardromon-screen, that you entered at a certain timing earlier, now has three Geremon. What I do here is, clip through the little bridge to get past them. Just watch one of my runs if you're not sure what I'm talking about.

recruit Giromon - 3 PP → simply talk to Giromon for another 3 PP and Autopilot. The Drimogemon we talked to earlier in Lava Cave becomes recruitable on Day 9, so we're gonna have to waste some time. Go to the Green Gym, train HP 3x times and Speed 5x times, then head to Drill Tunnel once again. Birdramon should be sleepy now. When exactly you sleep isn't important at this point of the run, just make sure it happens before the next battle with Ogremon.

recruit Ogremon - 2 PP → this is the last multi-Digimon battle of the run, and it should be much less painful than the other ones. A big problem with this fight: There's a cutscene right after it, in which your character will move to a certain spot on the ground. If one of the Agumon happened to die on that exact spot during the battle, you character will be trapped inside his model, unable to move. The only option you have at that point, is to use an Autopilot and walk back to Drill Cave. This should rarely ever happen though, so don't worry about it too much. Assuming everything went well, watch Ogremon's recruitment and pick up the HP-Chip he dropped. Leomon's Cave opens at 45 PP, and you have 43 right now. So instead of going Leomon's Cave, you're gonna have to go to Lava Cave and talk to the Drimogemon first.

recruit Drimogemon - 2 PP → after talking to and successfully recruiting Drimogemon, do the "Kyutora-Skip": Leave the cave through the exit right next to you, then enter it again and select the first option. Enter the cave again, then select the second option and walk to Leomon's Cave. This saves around 8 seconds as opposed to straight up walking from Drimogemon to Leomon's Cave. Pick up the Leomon Stone inside of Leomon's Cave. You can skip the textbox that comes up when you step in front of it, by hugging the left side of the monument. Feed the HP-Chip and Autopilot after obtaining the Stone.

recruit Vademon - 3 PP → another event that becomes available at 45 PP is the Vademon-recruitment. Read Shellmon's blackboard for a new UFO-message, it should be the very first message. Then walk to Vademon's screen through Native Forest. Check out the circles on the ground and trigger the cutscene that is Vademon's recruitment. You should be at 48 PP now, one more Digimon to go. Enter the screen north of you.

recruit Leomon - 2 PP → west, south, northwest, northeast, north are the screens you're going to have to go through to reach the screen with Leomon's cutscene. After that one is finished, enter the screen east and simply talk to Leomon to recruit him. Autopilot.

unlock Mt. Infinity → since you are at 50 PP now, you have access to the final area of the game. Talk to Jijimon to unlock Mt.Infinity. DO NOT leave the house through the regular exit. If you do that, you will have to go through a battle with Airdramon. Instead, use an Autopilot to skip the trigger for the battle and enter Mt. Infinity.

Mt. Infinity → the dodges here can be quite tricky. I really recommend to watch my runs and practice these a few times, otherwise you'll be seeing a lot of unwanted encounters here. There's two more battle coming up before the final boss of the run: Devimon and MetalGreymon. Both of these battles can play out terribly annoying. Devimon is really fast and will dodge your attacks a lot of the time. His most dangerous move is Megalo Spark, which not only does quite a bit of damage but can also stun your Digimon, so keep a hand on the Various'. Important to note here is that you should use up your sm. Recoveries in these next two fights as much as possible, as they won't be helpful in the final battle.

Another unpleasant detail about this fight: The game can actually soft-lock right after it, when Devimon flies of the screen. There's really nothing you can do but reset, should that ever happen to you. It is really, really rare, and we're honestly still not quite sure what causes it. For a long time we thought it happens when Devimon dies on top of you, but I don't think that is actually the case anymore. Anyways, after (hopefully) not soft-locking, ignore the Quick-Chip and head on towards MetalGreymon. Once again, practice the upcoming dodges beforehand. The room right after Devimon is probably the hardest one in the run, if you ask me.

Metalgreymon has Buster Dive, Meltdown and Infinity Burn. All of these moves have status effects, so once again, hover your cursor over your Various' as much as possible to be ready to cure your Digimon. You really don't want to go into the next battle without full HP, so heal your Digimon as much as possible near the end of the MetalGreymon-fight. Ignore the Def.Chip he drops and head straight north to the final showdown.

Machinedramon is the final battle of the run. This is also the fight we saved the Protection for, use it right after the battle starts. This prevents you from getting any status-effects in this battle, which is important since you're gonna be busy healing all the time. Machinedramon's most dangerous move is Thunder Justice, which will take roughly 50% of your HP every time it hits. Immediately throw a Med. Recovery for every Thunder Justice that connects with your Birdramon, or you could die in the blink of an eye. Always prioritize healing HP over restoring your MP as well, even though it might mean that you miss out on a few attacks. Machinedramon's finisher can also do tremendous amounts of damage, if you get really unlucky he might just one-shot you with it. That rarely happens though, just make sure you're at full HP once it hits and you should be fine. Anyways, as soon as Machinedramon's HP reach 0, you stop the timer and completed the run.
