PAL and NTSC runs aren't divided on the glitchless leaderboard like they are in any% and warpless, but PAL is still allowed for glitchless and you can still submit PAL runs to the glitchless leaderboard.

if you're playing on the PAL/european version, then FPG isn't terribly uncommon or difficult compared to the NTSC/USA version and can be done on accident.

There are no rules against using it in any%, entering the world 5 pipe while in world 1-2 is also used in the world records/top times for the category extensions Beat 5-4 and 1 warp

nah, someone achieving something rare doesn't automatically turn aforementioned feat into a new category on the leaderboard. thread closed.

There are no plans to add any new category extensions at this time. Additionally, to my knowledge - 4-3 in warpless walkathon on it's own has not been completed by a human in real time, and categories that are not considered human viable are never added.

The runs from 1999 should be added to the Any% leaderboard

These will likely not be added in any official capacity, considering that there is no proper video evidence (they were recorded using emulator movie playback, not actual screen recorders) and used a cycle inaccurate emulator (nesticle). However movie runs like these are documented and can be found at World Record Progression - Guides

being malicious/violating rules on purpose for a better/easier run VS. not following certain rules by mistake or unknowingly (e.g wrong emulator, no sound)

Movement in the PAL version of the game is quite a bit faster when ran on a 60hz console (which isn't normally possible without console modding or flash carts)

Using the hot swap trick with a Tennis cart you could easily warp to World 8 in under 2 minutes.
