OK, I'll wear that hat I guess. I already mod for a couple dead old games anyway. Well, not quite as dead but definitely not hopping.
Note: Retimed the real time from 57m 48s to 57m 11s (removed time before getting to the map and after the moment that final boss puzzle is completed)
Respectable run. However, it was recently documented that the IGT clock is paused during scene transitions, and runs where you repeatedly perform scene transitions exploit this in a manner which has not been determined to be valid.
Me and the other mod who were just recently appointed have not yet reached a consensus on this issue, but personally, I'm inclined to either disallow or retime runs which use methods that decrease IGT while necessarily or in practice increasing the real time of a run.
For now, this run will remain pending until me and the other mod can agree on how to process it.

Personally, I always prefer speedrun timers based on game time, where transitionary scenes (especially un-skippable ones) do not contribute to overall time. I have an at least mostly functional autosplitter and load remover script where the timer only runs AFTER you emerge from the entry gate, and UP TO the exact moment you enter the jump gate, or in the case of the bonus level, when the timer runs out. And of course, it splits automatically when you advance to a new level.
With all that said, speaking to the moderator(s) now, I wanted to ask, is this something you'd consider implementing into either the existing categories or as new categories once it's sufficiently tested and (if applicable) undesirable quirks are worked out?
