I just thought I would open the discussion here about the Amiga version of Spitting Image.
It might be one of the hardest, infuriating, and terribly designed fighting games I have every played. I actually couldn't figure out how to even win a single fight versus the AI, and when I did find attacks to spam or trap the opponent the AI just dodges everything perfectly.
I'm genuinely curious if anyone has cleared the Amiga version? I could not even manage to find a full video playthrough of it.
Not trying to call people out but look at the left and right. You can see @FirmanGs placement of splits and controller. Compare this to @Toku555 who btw, even goes back to the front menu, and splits are not getting in the way, like good standard practice, They stamp there video but its opaque which means I can still see the fight and its in a space that doesn't obscure anything whatsoever.

Please see the above image, I had to un-verify the pervious 1st place run, and also decline @Neoxz run due to the same issue. Unfortunately it seems if the rules aren't spelled out then people are taking advantage of it.
To be clear, it is a rule on speedrun.com that video not be obscured and fully visible for the runs. This is pretty much standard practice for gaming. I'm sure this there are some moderators who don't care, but they way I look at it is, if there is a world record video of anything, if something is in the way, or the video feed is at all obstructed those records aren't usually accepted. You should hold yourself to higher standard or else why do any of this, right? I'm going to ask that since this game has become more competitive, please understand and follow the rules. I will type them out very clearly in the rule set as of today.
The main things to note are
- Runs need to show settings
- Don't put overlays / splits on top of the gamefeed anymore.
- Don't cut the game off right at the end, let it play out through the credits or go back to the menu.
Again these are standard rules. Another thing, I'm really easy to reach and ask questions to. Discord, X, Insta, you name it, all under the same name. If you have a video you think needs reporting, looking at, reviewing, or just a general question, i highly highly recommend talking on one of those platforms in addition to speedrun.com.
This was featured on @spikevegeta 's SNESMania!
Also watching this confirmed just how frustrating certain normal attacks hit in this game. Glad to see this game got some play and a 1CC on first playthrough.
I added the switch version to the list. Not sure why you deleted your message.
If there's ever a version that isnt listed, just include the info in the notes of your run.

Heya Sonic Fans,
We would love to see Sonic Rumble at Anime Speedruns event. This time our event is providing commentary and translation support to accepted runners.
Normally the main event can't accept sonic because it originally started as a game series, however for the Mobile Game Speedrun event, this has been lifted, and shows with animes, or similar styles are accepted.

Hope to see some submissions!

A cute little plug and play game from Epoch, Tottoko Hamtaro: Ham Ham Dai Circus is adorable as it sounds. And super friendly to speedrun.
Even if you fail you can land in a category! But don't be mistaken, this games controls are frustrating and it's collection of mini games hard to clear even if you arn't going for a higher ranking.
There isn't much else to add at this time, but I do hope some of the Hamtaro runners out there discover this one!
