Hey everyone, I was able to gather some energy back to give the leaderboard some additions.
Please use this thread to request any changes, post strats, etc.
-
Ultra / Kaiju Variable added so we can see who used which character.
-
Rules added into a format, the wording wasn't changed for timing.
-
Added the Easy, Normal, and Hard Difficulties since the game becomes significant harder each setting, and may impact strategy. Easy Strats barely seems to work in the Hard percent. So I am curious who will be brave enough to tackle it.
-
Did not add Ultra Mode just yet, because a run hasn't been done.
That's all for now, the light's blinking.
February - March 2026 Updates
- Added Story Mode.
- Created the Any% and 100% Category
- Clarified the phone emulation rule.
more clarity on when to start the timer is necessary for this game to start to grow. it says that you start the timer upon pressing circle on the character select. current WR doesn't start the timer until the start of the first fight and it was still verified. if the rules on when to start aren't specified, it creates too much confusion which could drive people away from running the game.
I have added Story Mode, Any% and 100%
I have also updated clarified some of the rules, The best way to reach me as stated is in DM or Discord. Shoutouts to @koko_bandicoot for being able to clearly explain the requested categories.
I also banned some phone emulation. Don't use that, phone emulation is still highly inaccurate and I noticed frame skips on certain moves and loads. I will most likely be separating physical and emulation as well too since this is a PS2 game.
I will be double checking the leaderboards as well too, if anything needs a retime.
The biggest way to get thing added, is to just communicate clearly and directly what you need. The previous messages were honestly very difficult to understand the categories that you wanted added. A video would have gone a long way.
I really hope more of the Indonesian community who runs this game participates in the Tokusatsu discord, especially if you like ultraman, there's tons of information and ways to discuss the series and games there. Speedrunning is a great way to bridge fandoms as well, there just has to be an effective means to communicate on both sides. Until then, at the least, my dms are open and this forum is available.
Please see the above image, I had to un-verify the pervious 1st place run, and also decline @Neoxz run due to the same issue. Unfortunately it seems if the rules aren't spelled out then people are taking advantage of it.
To be clear, it is a rule on speedrun.com that video not be obscured and fully visible for the runs. This is pretty much standard practice for gaming. I'm sure this there are some moderators who don't care, but they way I look at it is, if there is a world record video of anything, if something is in the way, or the video feed is at all obstructed those records aren't usually accepted. You should hold yourself to higher standard or else why do any of this, right? I'm going to ask that since this game has become more competitive, please understand and follow the rules. I will type them out very clearly in the rule set as of today.
The main things to note are
- Runs need to show settings
- Don't put overlays / splits on top of the gamefeed anymore.
- Don't cut the game off right at the end, let it play out through the credits or go back to the menu.
Again these are standard rules. Another thing, I'm really easy to reach and ask questions to. Discord, X, Insta, you name it, all under the same name. If you have a video you think needs reporting, looking at, reviewing, or just a general question, i highly highly recommend talking on one of those platforms in addition to speedrun.com.
Not trying to call people out but look at the left and right. You can see @FirmanGs placement of splits and controller. Compare this to @Toku555 who btw, even goes back to the front menu, and splits are not getting in the way, like good standard practice, They stamp there video but its opaque which means I can still see the fight and its in a space that doesn't obscure anything whatsoever.
