Im currently working on Any% route for one game and preparing data for upcomming guide. Right now, I still dont know, which format or type is most used or preferred. I have these in my mind:

• Formatted text with images in Guides tab for the game
• Video format guide on Youtube
• Downloadable/Printable PDF

Every choice has pros and cons, so I decided to ask the community for an opinion - What is your preferred format for the speedrunning guide?

I would be very careful into modifying stuff for speerunning purposes.

Categories like Any%/Low%/100% should be always run on the original version without any modification, in my opinion. Tempering with in-game values could possibly bring potentional cheaters, which is something you dont want to deal with.

Yes, it matters a lot. Physics are less responsive.

Classic rally cuts are when car is going slightly off track, usually at least one wheel on the track. Major cuts are taking shortcuts, which is illegal, obviously.

Since you created this thread, I'll put my opinion here.

This category meant to be "equipmentless", which means that you have to deploy without nothing. Subsistence was closest category so it was probably named by it. In my opinion, it should be completely ok to start with any camo/swimsuit but forcing runner to use default uniform - why not, sounds challenging. Also, dismissing DD during Phantom Limbs - for me, its bigger challenge but nothing happens if you remove this rule. After years, Im grateful that someone took that idea and gave it new start :)

Hello, thanks for finding out. Since I'm last moderator for many games, I usually verify the most critic parts of the runs. Unfortunately, this game isn't popular in speedrunning world so I wasn't too much careful on details like that. I take a look, when I find freetime ofcourse.

Hello, unfortunately not. NGP physics are changing overtime. Maybe, if higher amount of players will be interested to post NGP times, I'll let create separate game for NGP physics, but not now.

If you have any run on other console, I have no problem to create other console categories

Sometimes... you just need to be at the deep bottom to reach bright sky. Stepping back, especially when you feel it as correct decision, is sometimes only logical move to "refresh" yourself. Overall, speedrunning offers a lot of fun but also a lot of frustration. You always can start again if you want to, you're not losing absolutely anything.

In terms of rally, we should declare it as "At least one wheel must be on the track". I can't imagine to verify a run for no cuts.

So, the final decision is overhaul the leaderboards and leave it "vanilla" content only. There are a lot of runs pending for verification but every IL run will be rejected because of changing rules.

It is one of the hardest choices I did in moderating. My mistake leads to totally unfair leaderboards. Few people were active here a lot so one solution for them is to move to Radiator Champ: http://www.radiators-champ.com/RSRLiveTiming/
