Im currently working on Any% route for one game and preparing data for upcomming guide. Right now, I still dont know, which format or type is most used or preferred. I have these in my mind:
- Formatted text with images in Guides tab for the game
- Video format guide on Youtube
- Downloadable/Printable PDF
Every choice has pros and cons, so I decided to ask the community for an opinion - What is your preferred format for the speedrunning guide?

I was thinking about leaderboards for AC. Let's be honest - AC is RACING SIMULATOR and it has nothing to do with speedrunning. Create "balanced" leaderboards is challenge and make it competitive is almost impossible. The state is that fictional car "Red Bull X2010", which is not even exist in real world (concept), absolutely destroyed every competition in GLOBAL and F1 category, leaving other cars without chance to achieve time somewhere near first places.
In spirit of racing simulation, I offer REWORKING of the AC leaderboards if community will accept that. If you are stop speedrunning AC because of unbalanced leaderboards, now is chance to change that. I created poll to vote so I want to know your opinion about leaderboards.
My opinion: Leaderboards are NOT balanced and allowing modded cars was mistake. Game also missing full-game boards of main game mode, which should be added. That's why I rather clear all runs and start again with original cars, which are most balanced in terms of racing. Maybe we can whitelist verified cars, which will fit real classes like "WTCC", "BTCC" and so on. Anyway, let me know.

Because I made first any% speedrun, I decided to make major changes.
Subcategories for full-game leaderboards were changed from difficulty options to "clean" and "dirty". "Clean" subcategory represent the "fair" way to beat the game, using classic rally cuts and no glitches. "Dirty" subcategory allows runner to use major cuts and glitches. These subcategories were added to IL boards too. Because game isn't famous in terms of speedrunning, changes didn't affect any existing runs because leaderboards are still empty.
Modifications are allowed with current limitations: All mods and plugins which don't affect game physics, car performance, track textures or other track visibility advantages are allowed. Runner can edit pacenotes, driving camera, digidash etc. Runner cannot modify track textures or change car physics. Original cars only (custom car skins allowed). For all crashes is every runner responsible.

What about to add misc category "longest pursuit"? It will be interesting to see, how long can someone survive (longest time = best time).

I saw how to add more games to the playstation classic console. Now, what happend next? Well, imagine if I run gran turismo 1 on it. You can, why not but this console don't include it in "legal" way, only if you mod it. Whats your opinion, is it allowed in speedrunning?
Maybe... This question should be on the different forum, not on speedrun.com. But did you ever ask a question, if you are happy with yourself? I'm asking because I want to know, how many from us are not. It's quite frequent to don't be, which is the biggest mistake, that constantly make from our life one big nightmare.

I just wanted to let you know that PS Classic, comming in 3rd December will have this game. The console is added on this websites.
Ahh, okay, last thread from me I swear....
I noticed a few things that are not fully described. This can avoid any problems to the future.
Today, I started using this: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/mod-gran-turismo-2-plus-bug-fixes-restored-content-and-new-content.378282/ Its a modification to the PAL version (later for all version), it restores hidden content, colours, textures, adding some upgrades to the vehicles which don't have in the base game. It also adds new prizes to the races. It's not hard to apply this mod to the game (And use it in console too), definitely can provide advantage in runs. Something like: "Additional patches and mods in game are NOT allowed." should be added in rules. Also good to mention, "Hybrid cars are NOT allowed" too. :)
Also, what about trading cars? Is it allowed? Because if you prepare some cars and store it in your second memory card, you can easily buy it using "Trade" option in menus (it's usually really cheap). This should be explained in rules too. :)
I also noticed that new license runs were added. N1nj4ofshr3d already got feedback from community about deleting them because Cyberscore have much more better runs, so it's pointless to have it here (since WRs here are much slower than Cyberscore WRs) Link is here: https://cyberscore.me.uk/game/342
Instead of IL of license runs, the misc category License Tests% sounds like good idea. TumeK5 also said something about "All Gold license tests", which sounds more crazy but why not? :)
And last thing, if IL will be empty, then individual "Special events" or "Endurances" can be added? Some races are limited by HP and some not so only the limited races are more interesting to see. The "free" are pointless to add because the Escudo will be the one vehicle to use (because of the power). So something like Win% for these events with prepared car and using IGT (without loads) are interesting to see or not? (Btw this meet requirements for emulators) :)
