ePSXe 1.9.0 is slightly faster than 2.0.5 but also less stable, 1.9.0 should be not allowed in terms of speedrunning in my opinion... Basically, PS2 is the fastest possible device you can speedrun this game on. Double check FPS, you maybe limited emulator to 50 FPS. Also, image below is my setup for speedrunning, except that FPS LIMIT, I'm using auto-detect. I'm using Pete's GL2 core plugin.
Feel free to start! :) Recently, the moderators of this game were changed because they were inactive. That's why I replace them month ago, now I'll try my best to keep it alive here. Also, if @ALZERI28 want, you can get verifier role since you have more knowledge about whole Ridge Racer Series I believe, let me know :)

I was thinking about that a lot..... Speedrunning with mods is very difficult topic to talk about. This game is not popular in terms of speedrunning, so I decided to set leaderboards for RBR without any mods to keep it clean and avoid all issues with compatibility and stability of the game itself. As you can see, nobody did season with NGP, because game often crashes between locations while loading. Also, I wanted to include "Rally School", which is part of the game. You can't even complete this with NGP. Everything is very complex, even when there's almost nobody playing this game without mods.... BUT noone knows :) .

Well, this game isn't much active, that's why I recommend to do first run of it and then we'll see.
Since 1 Lap is only used category, what about to delete other categories?
You dont need to, I think that the loading is "nearly the same". Let's use same timming method for now. We can change this in future if needed :)
