The only emulator allowed for runs is the Gambatte emulator, the directions to install it are in the category rules, along with this link to it. Feel free to ask in the discord about help setting it up. https://github.com/pokemon-speedrunning/gambatte-speedrun/releases

As a general rule, please don't ask for roms here. Valid roms will display <PSR> at the top of gambatte.

does 3ds vc work for the glitches or mgba?

The latest release of Gambatte-Speedrun and the latest release of GSE on GBP mode, with a GBC bios image would work and are allowed for speedruns. All other emulators are banned for speedruns, but some still do function properly. Regular Gambatte, BizHawk, or BGB would be fine for glitches, but mgba probably not. 3dsvc is also not ideal due to inaccurate emulation causing rng manips and probably glitches to be different.

Emulator is not banned. The latest release of Gambatte-Speedrun and the latest release of GSE on GBP mode, with a GBC bios image are both allowed console-accurate emulators. Going to lock this thread now though since it is very old and this is all answered in Game & Category Rules.
