A new subcategory has been created. It's filtered seed and here is how it works:
Runs in this category are filtered using the Filtered Seed mod (which as of right now is still in it's inception phase and has very rudimentary filtering)
Using it you can filter seeds that only have an acceleratium potion start, angry ghost and a black/white hole in the holy mountain, of which you can turn each of them off/on one by one. Because of these being the only filter so far, this mod is intended to be currently used in any% and other similar categories, but may see spread to other ones once the filters develop.
A discussion on filtering seeds and why acceleratium starts only mod has been allowed has already taken place, and due to numerous reasons, mainly as a concession for a more pleasing time spent speedrunning for players, we have allowed for it to be used globally.
Because of the similarity that mod (acceleratium starts) we decided to make a distinction with this one. The leaderboards for filtered seed are separate from the random and seeded boards, so you won't be able to submit to those when using this mod.
Originally we intended to use it as a resource to practice, but we decided against it as having the ability to filter out bad seeds will promote a more involved gameplay that highlights mechanical skill rather than heavily rewarding time spent with less emphasis on skill.

Although I'm massively in support of this addition, I can't help but wonder what sort of impact this can have on "unfiltered" any% submissions. What's stopping someone from simply removing the acceleratium seeds mod and renaming this new one to "accel-seeds-only", and playing as if it was regular any%? This would make getting a top 10 time, hell even a top 5 time, MUCH easier than before. I would personally be incredibly suspicious of all future top 10 submissions that happen to use angry ghost and black/white hole from a spell shop.
Luckily, there is a simple rule change that would basically eliminate this risk entirely:
Runs that achieve a top 10 placement must include footage of the entire session
(As a sidenote: I think this should be any% exclusive, at least for now)
This would let both the moderators and the rest of the community see that players aren't cheating by using "boosted" seed-filtering, and since we're all recording our sessions already, simply creating a separate video of the entire session wouldn't be a problem whatsoever. I've had complaints about how relaxed the rules are for speedrun submission in Noita, and since we're allowing a mod that can be abused far too easily I think it's time to get a bit stricter. (Another sidenote: most submissions won't be top 10, so this rule doesn't even concern most players who are speedrunning casually)
@baldur3, You are so right! This is something I was trying to explain on the stream, but you message shows it very clearly. I agree with your offer about checking full session with the top 10 Random Seed runs, because It is just better to make sure that nobody is cheating (Which is much easier with Filtered Seeds Mod).
