What rules will we enforce. I like the idea of it being minimal glitches allowed trying to make it as glitchless as possible. That is what most people I know traditionally do when playing these heists. But then again This is SR.com and I am also not against the idea of allowing some glitches. I suppose I will leave it up to a vote of what the general player base here would like. (leave feedback of what you think in this thread below I will make polls in the discord and messages that can be liked in the thread at a later date once we have more of an idea of what will happen) I would hate to add this LDB in such a way that people don't like and as such do not play. A few things I will add about rules though. I am not sure if everyone else will agree with this but here goes: (You can skip the rest of this paragraph if you don't care about these few Strats I am personally against). Buffered ledge grab being an interesting glitch that can be used to save time but due to difficulty I would prefer it is not allowed for use in the finale LDBs specifically. due to difficulty. I know SRing is not necessarily meant to be easy per say, but allowing this glitch would greatly increase the difficulty for some finales which would have a use for in them that can save time. That be a good thing or not is opinion. I don't know all the implications of this but 2 finales come to mind when thinking about it mainly being Humane Labs Raid where the buffered ledge grab & dive launch glitch can be used by both ground team members to escape the cooling tunnel surfacing in the labs and skip the swim. This is quite a difficult trick which has some inconsistency to it from my knowledge. I also think that killing yourself in the humane labs raid finale at the beginning and quick restarting to spawn at the Valkyrie too which can be used to skip the driving section should be not allowed. Although this might sound counter intuitive to what I said earlier being that I don't think it should be too hard. I also don't think it should be too easy either. By forcing the players to do the driving section (yes this would ban trip skip too) it will require more skill to the run. It does however make the fastest possible time a bit slower, only slightly increasing this +2040m run. As someone who likes humane labs raid a lot & plays it a lot I would be highly dissatisfied with this if this was to be the primary strategy that all players SRing the finale would be using. I think that other players who like to SR this heist and already do would be dissatisfied with this LDB if that was what all of the players running it would be using. I am just assuming that most outsider SRers ('Outsider SRers' referring to people who SR stuff other than Humane Raid elite in this case) would not care much about this and would be more in favour of allowing trip skip and killing yourself at the start strategies. Since this is not an Elite SR LDB but rather a SR as fast as possible type place I can see this rule not being put in place. I am just going off what every existing Humane Raid SR would like to see - I feel like I speak for the rest of us (Unless I am wrong, I'm just assuming they all see it the same as I do) as a pose to the wider player base who would play this because it's added as a LDB not purely off the heist itself like the traditional HLR Elite SRers. I see this LDB addition as a way to let these players show there work. So I am more willing to bend backwards in ways to favour them in terms of the LDBs implementation as a pose to wider players. If somebody majorly changed the rules of your favourite sport you are almost retired from for a younger generation who are not necessarily as good as you were (Not to say all of you SRers who haven't ran HLR are lesser than players - Just stating you very likely don't know the humane labs raid elite SRing as well as some the players who do run it) to make it easier or worse (depending on how you see it). Then you would not be too happy. As stupid as this comparison is, this is how I see it... But this is not necessarily going to be the case. Just my view as I am the mod who's most in favour of this LDB. If other mods or an overwhelming majority of the runners disagree with me then I will allow such strategies in the LDB.

Next and a big one: Timing

How will the timing of the finale LDB work as this is something I saw you mention in your message Murilo. I have seen a few others mention in past. I have also brainstormed how this would work too myself. As much as the elite challenge timer is slightly flawed and not perfect. It is also not that majorly flawed it is only minorly off some of the time. In my opinion, since it is a big reason why people like to SR the finales it should be considered. Mainly being that it won't be the only timer used. Since we have an RTA timer and an IGT that will display on runs we can use these both to display how quick the run is from 2 different point of views. Showing the main time people traditionally chase after - the Elite time. And the time taken in the finale for the cases that the elite time is not accurate to get the pure time from gain control of character till green tint flash/Hud disappear depending on how said finale ends exactly. (Not all end in green tint - Pacific Standard finale is an example of this). My thoughts being that the Elite timer could be the RTA time which is submitted by the runner (RTA is the Mandatory upon submission). This is because it's easier to just see what the time is in the end screen and add that to your run submission. For some people, they can't precisely time their run too well and for console runners too who don't have tools to time there runs precisely. The IGT would be the time that the heist took exactly and can be added if you can time it but if not then leave it blank for a mod to add since it's not required. As of lately we as a mod team have been trying to add it to every run that gets submitted and are editing some older runs to include it. So for the finale LDBs we would be adding those times from when the runs are submitted during the verification process. Thanks to Xeenon for some work on Doomsday LDB IGT and a huge thanks to Send. I don't know if you will be reading this Send <3 but you worked overtime to fill in the whole CBFR LDBs runs that are missing IGTs. I appreciate that last minute work right before you quit.

I did write a lot, some of it could have been cut down but I did want it to be fairly in depth with what I would like from this type of LDB and not skip on some details.

It is not confirmed this will get added. But all of the moderators who were against it seemed to have since left and I don't see any other mods being too against it. So I don't see too much reason as to why not. It could flop completely but there's already some pretty dead LDBs. So in my Eyes its better late than never! But I would like the other mods feedback & their incites to proceed with it and I would importantly like some input from you all, the runners. It's implantation will be influenced by your feedback. It may not look like it. but we appreciate the feedback. Even if it is negative and about things we cannot change & must look past.

Also although I mostly talked about the Original Heists in this post. I am talking about all the heists. each LDBs rules may vairy slightly from heist to heist depending on what glitches/strategies should and shouldn't be allowed.

TLDR:

We are in the planning stage of the potential Heist Finale Leaderboard for each heist. This is not necessarily going to get added but there's a good chance it will. Categories that'd get added: All 5 Original Heists, All 3 Doomsday heists, all 3 Casino Heist approaches and the Cayo Perico Heist finale (It could be 2 for stealth & aggressive but I think it's not important - give feedback)

CBFR is not exactly called a heist in game So it is unlikely to get added - As similar thing could be asked for Autoshop contracts - sorry we probably won't add them. But If requested enough we could :D

How should the timing work? Where should the leaderboards be placed? what rules will we enforce for this category? Please leave feedback if you have any :)

Hey, as I've been pointing out for years, I know some players who would be happy if Finale Only were offered here. However, it should be noted that this explicitly refers to the category that already exists in GTAF. What does that mean? Finale Only heists that are completed in Elite Challenge, without glitches. This means, conversely, that only things like combat runs and fast weapon switches are allowed. For the first-person category, the cockpit view must be set, because even if the hood view exists in the game, you obviously don't need to do a first-person run, as that would completely defeat the spirit of first-person. Furthermore, using the reverse camera trick, which allows you to have a third-person view, was also prohibited, which contradicts the spirit of first-person. So if there are any players here who absolutely want to play finals-only with glitches, please create a separate category for that. Because, dear Agent, don't forget, there are plenty of people who aren't interested in this hardcore glitching.

As much as I’d like to be seen as the voice of the entire console speedrunning community, I don’t claim to speak for everyone — this is just my personal opinion. That said, I believe moving the leaderboard for heist finales to Speedrun.com would be a positive and much-needed change.

Right now, having the leaderboard buried in an obscure thread on GTAForums isn’t ideal. It’s hard to find, not very accessible, and doesn't give the recognition or visibility that dedicated runners deserve. It also doesn’t reflect the effort or legitimacy of those striving for competitive, well-documented runs.

Speedrun.com has long been the central hub for everything speedrunning. It’s where people naturally go to look for verified runs, leaderboards, and categories — across all platforms and games. It just makes sense for GTA Online’s finale runs to be represented there as well.

I know I’m a somewhat divisive figure in the community, but I genuinely think this suggestion is fair and reasonable.

I am glad that we can agree on this Rag & Barcode. I would prefer it glitchless similar to the old GTAF leaderboard but I know some players like being able to use as many glitches as they can. As I wrote in one of these paragraphs how I would prefer it to exclude certain glitches in the case they I had to allow some glitches to satisfy the players.

Yes finales should be here ☝️ more active moderators here + also more accessible and more cleaner, I feel like the spreadsheet is messy

My opinion timer should go of elite timer and not manual timer

I like using glitches but honestly having any kind of leaderboard category would be nice

Tbh if someone like to use many glitches as they can, they have already since years a leaderboard for this, just run full runs. Why in seven hells, can't have runners who like runs without glitchess, just theyr own category. At the story mode LB they have so much different categorys, why we can't have it ?

IMO for example Pac Std - gliding under the map is just boring and is done in one attemp XD

If you drive normal, you need 4 players who can drive fast, who has minimap awareness to see where cops are, dodge the cops in a smart way. And ye you need maybe a lot of attemps to have an succsessful run.

If you all wouldn't mind, please continue any conversation related to the finale leaderboard in this thread. thx

Also I should note that we are drafting a flight school category and are looking into the removal of the all survivals in the snow category. Both of these are concerning the category extension. More to that soon.

Small update:

The previously mentioned Flight School has been added to the GTA Category Extensions.

As for GTAO, if it wasn't already noticed, the Heist Finales leaderboard is now ready for submissions (shoutout Agent & Witt 🗣️).

Lastly, a few levels were added, those being the six Mr. Faber Work missions and since today the six Most Wanted missions.

the new listings missions would be a great add

Once the main update is released they are very likely to be added as individual levels. So give it a few more weeks...

Edit: The listings missions have been removed according to Tex2, unless they reappear they won't be added.

The new Knoway Out missions and 'Home Sweet Home' should be added

The grace period is over and the new leaderboards have been added. They follow the same layout as previous DLCs:

I hope everything is spelled correctly and the right subcategories have been applied. If not, that will of course be fixed.

*& the listing missions were not added because they have been removed.

might be nice to have all 6 of the Mr. Faber works all in one thing

Truthman111 und Menoita gefällt das.

The Mr. Faber work missions are a bit different from other missions. Even implementing the Mr. Faber missions themselves led to some discussion, as they cant be started from the pause menu via Jobs or selected individually from a screen like the MOC missions. The missions you receive in the money laundering business are essentially random after your first playthrough.

This makes them a bit annoying if you just want to get a good time on a single mission and very unreliable if you want to complete all of them in one go as quickly as possible. Because of this I dont see it as realistic for them to be added unless there is significant demand; like for example multiple runs on Youtube, just waiting for a leaderboard to appear.

Fiji

Good point all speedruns needs to have a clear start and finish because u can pickup and put down the missions at any point there would be no clear start so yea ur right too unreliable

Fiji

adding the odd jobs might be fun having one for each thing like fire fighting pizza boy taxi work ect would be very rng based but still could be fun

Elite Challenges and difficulty vote

Requirement of doing either Elite or Elite Glitchless on Hard difficulty.

Currently the majority of runs (all top spots iirc) are run this way - I'm expecting this largely due the "Nobody gets wasted" requirement for 12/13 Elite Challenges.

One big exclusion to this is of course Ca
