Summer is here, and while some are baking in the summer heat, you will surely have been waiting for this year's tourney announcement. Well, here it is:
ANNOUNCING THE 2026 TRUE ENDING TOURNEY
Like the previous years we will host an Open Stage, following it up with a double elimination Bracket Stage. This Open Stage is free for anyone to join, regardless of your skill level as long as you're able to stream on twitch. The date for this year's Open Stage will be:
- Day 1: September 12 19:00 UTC+0 - 22:00 UTC+0
- Day 2: September 13 16:00 UTC+0 - 19:00 UTC+0
Players will have 3 hours on each day to reset and get the fastest True Ending time they can. If you are only available for one of the days, you can still sign up—just be sure you'll be able to make the most out of your one session! If you still want to participate, but have no time on either of those two days, we will host one unrestreamed session the weekend prior based on availability. A public-facing signup list can be found here.
The 16 players with the fastest completed run at the end of the Open Stage will head off in a double elimination bracket in the following 3 weeks. If player count is high enough, we might host a second bracket, but we will make no guarantees on that. If you have no desire to play in the Bracket Stage, you are still free to signup for the Open Stage!
Like always, an event of this size only works with a sizable amount of volunteers, especially referees for the Open Stage. Even if you have never volunteered before, feel free to signup and try it out!
Player and volunteer signup form: https://forms.gle/VzpRPpqFnqVd2Nia9 Player signups will close Thursday, September 10 20:00 UTC+0
You have to join the CelesteCommunity Events server to participate in this event: https://discord.gg/jDPpYueVWw
