How to enable Extra Traps/Lava Mode (No Speedrun Mod Needed)

To enable extra traps you must head over to the Granny Legacy_Data folder. Inside you should see a folder named: "StreamingAssets" if you dont see it, you need to make the folder yourself. Now to enable extra traps you must create a .txt file rename it to ExtraTraps.

Now here is the important stuff, to set grannys spawn you want to make a .txt file and rename it to one of these. enemyspawn1, enemyspawn2,enemyspawn3,enemyspawn4, spawn 1 is near the tv, spawn 2 is in the green bedroom, spawn 3 is in the basment, and spawn 4 is at the secret area/the room behind the boxes. (LAST THING) YOU **CANNOT** SET GRANDPAS SPAWN WITH ENEMYSPAWN WITHOUT THE SPEEDRUN MOD.

How to get your speedrun 100% approved!

 Hello, fellow speedrunners! Today I am going to explain how can you get all of your speedruns approved.

 Mainly, there are a few points you should check on:

 1) **Do not** speed up, use slowmotion or alter the video in anyway that directly affects the final time of your speedrun. That is grounds for not just a rejection, but for a warning as well.

2) **Do not** use unauthorized mod menus, modify game files or use 3rd party tools for faster pickups. Again, this might not just get your run rejected, but your account reported as well.

3) **Do not** spam submissions with the same video link. More than 50% of all rejected runs are "clone submissions". Submitting a speedrun **ONCE** is enough.

4) For speedruns where the game difficulty cannot be easily recognized (Such as 1.0 no enemies speedruns), you **MUST** show the main menu before the speedrun begins. This way, you ensure that your speedrun does not get rejected. It is also recommended to show the main menu for any speedrun you make.

5) Make sure that the game can be **clearly heard** in your video.

 With that being said, I hope that this guide will help you guys out when submitting future speedruns on Granny Legacy!

INSTALLING THE GRANNY LEGACY AND SPEEDRUN MOD ON LINUX

**Installing Granny Legacy**

First, download Granny Legacy from the official website. After downloading, unzip the file to a convenient location and begin the installation.

Go to Steam > Library > Add a Non-Steam Game > Browse

Navigate to the directory of the unzipped game and select the .exe file. After adding the game, it will appear in your library under the name GrannyLegacy.exe

Then right-click on it > Properties > Compatibility > Force the use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool > Proton Hotfix

That's it! We've successfully installed the game on Linux.

**Installing the Speedrun mod by Menzo**

Download the archive from the Resources section on this website and unzip it to a convenient location. After that, move the contents of the archive (except the readme and .bat file) into the game folder.

Go to Steam > Right-click on GrannyLegacy.exe > Properties > Launch Options and enter the following parameter:

WINEDLLOVERRIDES="winhttp=n,b" %command%

```

After that, launch the game, let the menu load, and exit. On the next launch, the mod will load successfully.

**Установка Granny legacy**

Для начала скачиваем Granny legacy с официального сайта. После установки разархивируем файл в удобное место и начинаем установку.

Заходим в стим > библиотека > Добавить стороннюю игру > Обзор

Заходим в директорию разархивированной игры и выбираем .exe файл. После добавления игры она появится у вас в библиотеке под названием GrannyLegacy.exe

Дальше нажимаем ПКМ по ней > Свойства > Совместимость > Принудительно использовать выбранный инструмент совместимости Steam Play > Proton Hotfix

Все! Мы успешно установили игру на линукс.

**Установка Speedrun мода от Menzo**

Скачиваем архив из раздела Resources на этом сайте и разархивируем в удобное место. После этого содержимое архива(кроме readme и .bat файла) переносим в папку с игрой.

Заходим в стим > ПКМ по GrannyLegacy.exe > Свойства > Параметры запуска и вписываем туда следующий параметр:

После этого заходим в игру, прогружаем меню и выходим. После повторного захода мод успешно загрузится.

Leaderboard navigation

The structure of this leaderboard has two main components:
 **1) Main categories (All categories that contain "ve1.x" in their name)**
 **2) Miscellaneous categories (Also known as "fun categories")**
 The difference between these two types of categories is that, on your user profile, Miscellaneous speedruns are not visible by default, and can only be seen when the "Show misc." filter is activated. If you want these runs to show by default on your page, go to settings > profile > Your page. There is an option named "Show runs in miscellaneous categories by default". Its deactivated by default.
 These categories are also hidden on the leaderboard. To see them, press the arrow circled on this screenshot. All misc categories of this leaderboard will be revealed.
