"Glitched" is a kind of unintuitive category name, since it doesn't really describe the restrictions on the category, forcing people to read the rules to figure out what it entails. Could we call it "All Towers (Unrestricted)" or something instead?
agreed, i think the "glitched" category doesn't make sense, because we currently have three different classifications:
- unrestricted (beat the game any way you can)
- glitched (beat the game while completing all the keys aka; completing the requirements to beat the game
- glitchless (beat the game with no glitches while completing all the keys)
first of all, i think the leaderboards could do with some more clarity. we could combine all the "Big Game" and "Big Goodbye" categories into one tab, and then have sub-tabs for unrestricted, glitched and glitchless.
there are two possible ways that i can see this going for the category names. firstly, the current "glitched" category resembles a sort of "Any% with Source Requirements" aka. all keys, or say "All Main Keys". therefore, we can say
- "Glitched" in its current state becomes "All Main Keys (Glitched)" or "Big Goodbye/Game Glitched (Source Requirement)"
- we rename "Glitched" to "No Major Skips" where the skipping implies skipping any keys
- we name it something more arbitrary, like "intended"
personally, i prefer
Big Game/Goodbye - Unrestricted, No Major Skips, Glitchless.
gives us the most descriptive category names in my opinion.
Hi all, after assessing the results of the first speedrunning poll to determine whether disconnects will be allowed or not, we have elected to split the leaderboards as the votes were almost exactly 50/50! In order to facilitate this, we are reorganizing the leaderboards and introducing a few change
