Learning to frame count! Useful on all runs!
Updated EvenEden
by Okay, so the logic to frame count should be is this:
- Find the exact times/frame you begin with and end on. These are the first frame where you "Press Play" and the first visible frame/time you can see the "Victory Screen" appear.
- Subtract the Ending time by the beginning time [Minutes:Seconds:Frames or Minutes:Frames:Milliseconds (I.e. 41:15:28 - 36:24:20 OR 32:36.420 - 27:12.690)
- Figure out how many frames you record in(I.e. I record in 1080p 30fps)
- Convert your milliseconds into frames: Formula should be milliseconds * FPS = frames [If your editing software does shows frames automatically, you can skip this step]
- Use this website: https://www.zapstudio.net/framecalc/
- Insert your Minutes:Seconds:Frames(which you should have from the formula) into the top area and type in how many frames you record in. -. This should be your proper frame count.
This is how I just confirmed my frame count and confirmed the first 4:41.xx, happy speedrunning!
