Hello all, I created this account a while ago but have never touched it till now and as a result am very new to speedrunning. How can I go about recording/timing on my switch with things like livesplitter and longer recordings than 30 seconds? Just some links in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all

For switch runs the best option would be using a capture card to record your screen, but if you can't do that you would have to use your phone or another camera to record your tv or monitor and make sure it has decent video quality. Console runs use Real Time (RTA) for timing so you don't need to use livesplit, but if you do want to use livesplit you'll have to manually start, split (if you add splits) and end the timer.
