each time I get to test chamber 02 it crashes. not exactly sure if I'm just being an idiot

i have never seen this problem, but i recommend talking to the people in the discord instead since the forums are not as offen checked!
Try checking in Source_Upack > portal > maps and make sure testchmb_a_02.bsp is there and if that doesn't work check Source_Unpack > portal > maplist.txt and make sure that testchmb_a_02 is in the correct place (underneath 00 and 01) and if none of those work ask in the discord or just reinstall the game
An update has been released for SST that adds the command sst_portal_resetisg. This command removes Item Save Glitch and is to be used in place of restarting the game. This is a temporary solution while a more robust and legitimate one is developed.
