I have a question regarding submission times. I submitted a run and the time I submitted was from my stopwatch. The time accepted was from the end slate after the credits which was 4 minutes faster (I assumed because of my deaths in the run)
Why is that time accepted over stopwatch time? What does the in-game time measure for? I assumed it was the deathless run, which is why I used a stopwatch.
the time at the stats menu is the way we time our runs, as it's the in game time and it takes out pausing and skipable cutscenes
nothing else, just submit your runs as whatever the time at the end is. even if you don't it will be corrected.
you can use a stopwatch, splits ect to see whither you're ahead or not, but the time after the credits is the time you should submit the run as.
edit: deaths effect your run but since they're so many checkpoints it will make not too much of a difference, if you're trying to be optimal just try not to die
