You have multiple options to record gameplay:
- The easiest option is to use a camera (e.g. a phone camera) to film the TV screen.
- You can also connect your Nintendo Switch to a PC using a Capture Card, this will give you better video quality but also requires buying such a capture card.

Is there a cheaper option? My budget is about 30-40 dollars max since I don't exactly have a lot of money...
that’s the most commonly used one. you can find cheaper ones but i would advise doing some research before buying one. some just don’t work very well.
Is it fine to just use my phone to film? It might be low red and laggy though.
Your phone camera is fine as long as the video is sufficient quality that the mods can clearly see what’s going on.
