This game has long been unplayable in anything other than the M2 emulator, but recent advancements in MAME have brought full compatibility, which means its time to get our lightgun on! Virtua Cop was an absolute marvel at the time, full polygons and texture mapping, a wonder for 1994. It might be argued that Virtua Cop actually brought 3D poly to the lightgun genre, before it was almost always digitized sprites. It also made it all the way to the second most profitable arcade machine in Japan in 1995, which is extremely impressive.
