Arcade Emulation

Hey so I wanted to speedrun this, but from what I read online (including the forums here) MAME seems to be inconsistent with this game. I was wondering if there is any other emulator that can run the game correctly or that is allowed for the arcade leaderboard.

Astro City Mini is a closed source emulator and it plays Virtua Fighter accurately. I'm confident that's your only option. Comes with 2 save state slots but can't see or adjust the DIP switch settings. Still sold new today. Don't buy the V by mistake.

Shmups Junkie on YouTube showed that the Mini and Mini V have very fast screen displays. You probably add 1 frame of lag using the HDMI out to display + capture card. I think recording the Mini with cell phone cam on tripod would be very funny but that is my plan.

There's a new emulator called WANGMODEL1. It plays Virtua Fighter accurately.

I saw a video claiming that. It is a claim. I don't see anyone running, say, Astro City Mini with WANGMODEL1 with the same inputs and getting the same outcomes. But for the sake of encouraging more runners, I'd like for it to be allowed unless/until proven it's not accurate enough.

I watched some videos of it and it looked pretty good tbh (the demo at the start looked correct). I would generally also be pro allowing it, but want to have @Tenka 's opinion first.

And unfortunately I was not able to download it to try it out, but maybe it will be sorted out in the next version. I think the fps and game settings need to be shown as the rules state, especially since it is an emulator. @FriesNuggetsPizza submitted run didn't (game settings), but honestly idk what kind of settings the arcade version has..
