ULTRA_REVAMP update's geometry and collision changes make some levels (1-4 for example) dreadful to speedrun. I've generally not liked downpatching but I think its going to become mandatory the more hakita unintentionally makes speedrunning harder.
On Oct. 29th and Oct. 30th respectively, I submitted 2 (1:40:29 and 1:31:22) Any% runs as my first runs for this game. earlier today they were both rejected for Reason: Runs on an emulator aren't allowed. both of these runs were captured directly from my switch and are ran on Super Mario Odyssey version 1.3.0 with switch firmware version 19.0.1. I can only assume these runs were denied because of my comments in this thread: https://www.speedrun.com/smo/forums/dyjea but those comments were speaking purely hypothetically and I would never submit a run using an emu unless it was accurate enough to be allowed on speedrun.com, and until then, I will only ever use an emulator for either practice or for fun. I hope that this misunderstanding can be cleared up and my run(s)? could be verified.
Can someone please explain how the cooldown for the feedbacker punch works? sometimes I punch once and it takes a full second to punch again, sometimes I can do 4 coin punches in a single second, what gives? also yes this is about the V2 kill in 1-4.
