I got my first WR in a mobile game called Sky: Children of the Light.
It's the newest section of the game, and it's the first time the game has a section that is intended to be a difficult challenge.
I found my own shortcuts and take the top place! I always watch speedrun streams and youtube videos, and I finally became one of the speedrunners! I am so excited!
Yea I get it, it's a phone game. But it's an awarded indie game, not one of those pay to win games. You basically fly around to visit beautiful places, gather stuffs and make friends, like an mmorpg but without rpg and stats. Technically the more you practice, the faster you fly. Micro-transactions are only for the appearance. So I guess it's pretty legitimate!
Nice to meet you!
Hi everyone, zerotheskull here. I am from Hong Kong!
I just got the WR for Trial of Earth (and break myself again 10min ago) and joined this community today. However I have been playing and trying to speedrun by myself for serveral months now. It's very nice to meet you all.
Sitting in front of the statues (or on any glowing white circle) are always frustrating. Because most of the time it could be interfered by the server status. Sometimes you may past the check point immediately but more oftenly, you will be stucked. Especially in these places:
The final temple of each maps The end of all trials The Vault elevator The gates of the 2 Valley races (ok maybe this can be an exception because even in speedrun it's possible for other players to open it before you)
I feel like we must establish a stronger and more strict rule in order to reduce the randomness over playing technique. Like this is not even RNG, if it is, arguably we can just do more grindings to manipulate it. But this is mere server problem.
What do you guys think? I think at least we should stop the timer when you start to sit in all the trials
