You don't have to worry about "being the absolute best at the game" you're submitting, just be "decent," have a run recorded, and submit. :)

During my Silent Age speed runs, I have had an error in the game where I am caught in a blank screen. My character can run left and right and trigger the time machine, but the level never loads. I have included links to 3 separate occasions where the game glitched out mid-run.

Anyone ever experience this? Any idea how to fix it?

Event Info:

Decent Speedies is the team of WarwickSTL & Radiooptimism, 2 speed runners that thought it was a fun idea to introduce a new kind of speed run event! One that isn't so strict overall; where fun & good times is the focus of the event. You'll notice by the name that in order to submit your run, you don't have to be the absolute best runner out there. Just as long as you're decent & consistent with your run time, you have a chance to be a part of the event! Just because you're lower on the leaderboards doesn't mean you won't be accepted into the event. With that, we would also be honored to receive submissions from the top speed runners! The first DS2020 event will be an online event, no travel involved! Stream from the comfort of your own space. It will take place on February 29, 2020 from 8am-8pm CST on our Twitch page. Depending on the submissions/interest, we may expand it out to fill the following day, March 1, 2020.

I see there's a lot of animation skips on iOS that doesn't seem to exist on PC. Not sure if it's even possible to get a sub 30 on PC.
