The video by Matte has quite a few pause screens showing for a few seconds. Also while watching the video I noticed a "do you want to return to the title screen" screen at 10:06. (this happens at other times in the run also)

Why would any of this show up in a speedrun? I'm not alleging the run is cheated, but would like an explanation so I can better understand why all of this is in the run. I fail to see how any of this would do anything but lengthen the run by a few frames each time.

I'm not an expert in the game so I'd like to learn why all of this exists in the run in the first place.

[edit] Im noticing a lot of other strange things as well in the run.

IrelandOfEndor's any% Normal run which is #1 on the leaderboards. It jumps from 26:45 to 27:16. I've checked this in multiple browsers now. It doesn't feel like the run is cheated or anything but an explanation for this would be nice so we all know why this has happened.
