Thanks, I've been curious about the game's cheats since finding another forum post on the BOSTON cheat. This should be useful for single stage runs w/out beating the game again if starting from scratch. That is if and when I'll run this game

I would use the PS2 version in part because of the scarcity of that port, though at the same time I don't know at all if that port is compatible with a USB keyboard

The description of GuitarHeroROXS' video of a high score on Green Grass & High Tides said that it might be possible on NTST if you're really accurate on the RB1 engine, but the only person to actually FC this song was on the PS2 version through an emulator like Andy said so I don't know if that would count especially if you take note of what that guy had to do to be able to capture the footage, and game too with his setup. That one and only FC of the song is on the Score Hero leaderboards BTW.

One I have that would be useful is to add the game's console as V.Smile instead of not having one. Secondly it'd be cool to see a IL leaderboard for this game. Lastly I have a Chinese version of the game which adds a new Learning Zone mini-game along with other features.

Missouri, USAteh_supar_hackr4 years ago

I noticed the only category is Any% which is a run of the Learning Adventure, and I think there should be another one added for Learning Zone where you would run all the games in the Learning Zone mode. Toy Story 2's leaderboard does this. Any% being called that is fine, but might also make more sense to name it Learning Adventure? I was also wondering if you could add some IL categories for each stage in Learning Adventure, and maybe Learning Zone.

After 3 years, the previous WR holder has been defeated!

The only instance I know of where the PAL region is faster than NTST.

I do plan to run Cow Race, though probably after Boneville as I dread Cow Race's mop game at the start. At the same time I also dread that hide and seek game that I think you have to play twice in Boneville?

I've been waiting for a PSP and DS port runs of this game for ages now.

Despite only being into Rock Band and Guitar Hero since around 2017 I know a lot of the games, and own a majority of the Rock Band and Guitar Hero games. I'm unsure if you'd let me be mod of Rock Band on this site, but would be cool if you were fine with that.

I was just thinking of running the 2nd Bone TTG game too, but the only thing that would ruin a run for me is the first puzzle where you have to clean the floor while others keep walking where you just mopped, making it dirty again. Took me like 6-8 minutes to get past my first try, and was the worst part for me, the rest was do able.

On all versions, would I be able to use a QWERTY format keyboard? I'm also wondering if on the PS2 version if a USB keyboard will work. I'm asking as info on this game is scarse outside of a review of the game from LGR.

Missouri, USAteh_supar_hackr4 years ago

I'm asking as the Wii and PS2 are less powerful than the PS3 and Xbox 360, and remember there may have been a few differences on the PS2 version from Gggmanlives' review on the game where he mentions the PS2 version in it along with the Xbox 360 version which is what he played.

Also of course the Wii version probably has motion controls forced in, though I don't know anything of the Wii version, and did'int know it existed at all.

I would have that change to the leaderboards like you said.

I should try that trick, but first I should play through the game in a non speedrun way as I've only seen this game in action from an episode of Creepy Bad Endings which was where I found this game when I was like 15 or something. XD

I'll do the DOS version as I've never gotten the hang of Amiga emulation, never could get it running properly with UAE.

Another cool glitch is if you're up against a door, or some other object you can't normally shoot through, and try shooting while moving forwards against it, you can sometimes shoot through that object to whatever you want to aim at. Been looking for a use for this trick, but can't think of any outside of killing enemies without them getting to you, maybe for a portion that is easy to die in accessed after going through that wall or something.

Also where Lela first stands in the stage, I was able to go around her, and walk to the following room without triggering the arrow appearing in the hall to the next part of the stage which was this portion I accessed. I guess that transition is there to not confuse players to backtrack far like most would with how the stage all looks the same. Skipping this trigger will not load any of the enemies, studs, or build it to open the door. Also it won't show the next part to progress, so this trick is as of now pointless.

I was making a level map for Blockade Runner that's apart of a project to map all the areas of the GBA version of this game over on the Spriters Resource. I got to this room where you have to activate three floor buttons to deactivate the electric wall to get the mini-kit, and because I had to go through the wall to get the mini-kit, and to capture that end of the room I first tried to solve it, but never knew how to legit. I used to exploit the floor buttons by walking on them fast enough to keep them all on at once, but I could'int do it, so I then decided to capture as much as I can up against that wall, walking left and right on the slope. I must have jumped at the part of the slope that ends, and clipped through the floor while holding forward the whole time, causing me to get to the other end. C3P0 will ram himself against the edge like an idiot, and once you've gotten the mini-kit, you can switch to him, and escape. Just be warned that if he moves towards the slope in a way, he too can clip in with you, meaning you'll be stuck and have to quit through the menu because there's no objects to clip through on that end with that electric wall still up.

I'll post an image of this glitch, along with a download to a save state file for VisualBoyAdvance, in the emulator once you load the rom just click load (not load game) to load a state from a file. Pick this file, and you should see it in game. If it does'int work for you, the rom I'm using is "LEGO Star Wars II - The Original Trilogy (U)". I'm pretty sure this can be done on real console, knowing how buggy and weird collisions can be on this port. BTW that stage mapping project I'm doing for this, I'll let you know by making a thread for a walkthrough I've made that will have images, unlike that GameFaq walkthrough which btw has been archived.

Did'int know this was on here because the V.Smile consoles does'int list this as on that. Would someone mind putting down this is for V.Smile so people know it's on here as there is no console this says it's on.

I'm asking as looking up this game only shows the game on PC through steam. The V.Smile does'int even have any homebrew software outside of a simple program to draw spheres on the screen made for testing.

BTW is that Mr. Enter in the background as a PONY?! XD

Yes there is, MESS acts as a quite good functioning one! It just has a few faults, with the only big one being that sometimes controller input will be lost, but for me that rarely happens. I've sent a DM for more in depth info if you're interested. BTW the Discord link on your YouTube is broke. Was going to send you a DM on Discord, but guess I'm not doing that.
