Well golly gosh this is the first time I've seen someone do the Indiana Jones skip in a long time.
I tested it in version 1.4, using the one on the Lexaloffle site, running on Chrome in Windows 10
Someone asked me if the spike skip from HD was possible in Pico-8, and I didn't know, so I did some investigating. I wasn't able to recreate the clip exactly, but this seems like it could be even faster.

Buffered jumps are really janky in the Pico-8 version of the game, so I'm not sure how consistent this is, but it feels like I get it most of the time as long as the lineup is right.

New Game + means that you can use a full save file. Any% might be better called "Any% NG", it's starting from a fresh file.
The distinction any% is making is really in contrast with 100%, where you have to buy every upgrade in addition to defeating the boss.
Yes, just clear all levels, objectives don't matter for any%.
I'm actually not really sure. I kinda like to have it there just to dangle in front of people, like "is this possible?" but you're right that it's redundant. Do you think it's worth removing?
I have been recording runs of Dusk Child HD, and doing 100% runs that include getting the East Temple orb. I'd like to be able to submit those.
If you don't think the 100% category is worth adding, I can submit as any%, but I don think the HD version should be on the version list.
I have a run, and I intend to have better runs soon. Could you please make a category for me to post into?
