This is a thread for all the legacy runs that have been pruned off the leader board:

Level 1 to 100 (Warlords Patch 6.2, around July 2016)

Rules at time of category: No use of: Instant Levels

Timing starts on ANY input/Any UI interaction (Except camera movement) after you skip the cutscene, and ends as you hit level 100.

Guilds are allowed at this time.

This run allows for the old RAF system (If you have the new RAF with less xp bonus submit your run to the other 1-110 category)

This is information collected pertaining to the spell "Shadow Word: Pain" that I have collected. I am mostly writing this since I can't find a straight answer anywhere lol.

SW:P has a modifier of 342% spell damage (int in legion?) Critical hits deal 3.5x the damage listed.

Empty Character: Level 1 : - Level 2 : - Level 3 : 18 instantly, 162 over 18. Level 4 : 11 inst, 99 over 18. Level 5 : 12 inst, 108 over 18. Level 6 : 22 inst, 198 over 18. Level 7 : 22 inst, 198 over 18. Level 8 : 25 inst, 225 over 18. Level 9 : 25 inst, 225 over 18. Level 10 : 28 inst, 252 over 18.

Using the following set up (heirloom screen including for item names) http://i.imgur.com/E2n5nbY.png: Level 1 : - Level 2 : - Level 3: 28 Instantly, 288 over 18. Level 4 : 28 inst, 288 over 18. I would like to apply as a head moderator of this establishment of speedrunning posting.

I have 12 years of World of Warcraft speedrunning expertise, 11 years of competitive Pokemon: Trozei! mastery, and 6 years of Half Life 2 speedrunning, but only up to the part where you have to save and load a whole bunch because my mom doesn't believe in save states.

Do we want to keep 1-100 as well as introduce 1-110, or should we archive the 1-100 records here in a form post, and just all move on to the new max. Let me know your thoughts.

This is now outdated, but left for historical needs:

Speed tips: -monks have a passive buff to xp gained through daily and class quests -zen pilgrimage has a storm wind portal, no need to set hearth -monk T1 middle talent can be stacked for 20 seconds of a total of 35%(?) bonus movespeed. -monks ignore 25%(?) armor with a common attack -monks r cool

The current route for people planning to do segmented runs is:

1-10 normal route

10-13/14/15 Go to Redbridge and kill mobs until 13/14/15.then , go to Westfall and kill murloc rare and skeleton rare, enter deadmines and kill mobs until 15. Pick up and complete hogger wanted quest, free 1k xp and possible rare.

15 que for a random dungeon once, complete the quests, then only que specific dungeons from here, removing all the ones you complete. Do this until 58. hearth back to goldshire, que as your hearth finishes. Turn in hogger, head to logging camp

20 get riding at logging camp, start headed towards STV

(35-55 here)

55 head to dark portal in preparation for 58.

58-85 quest and specific que

85-90 only quest, no dungeons

90-100 get xp potions from garrison, do bonus objectives and specific que

I am going to make a section for 1-100 runs. I understand that nobody (yet) has completed a full timed run up to the rules that we currently have. To this, I am going to allow the /played counter to be an official timer in the mean time. For these runs, I will need a screen shot of the /played at current level, and in total, just to verify the time.

Now, since I can't double check all the aspects of it, we are going to operate on the honor system here. If people want, I can have an heirloom and non-heirloom 1-100, but I don't think people are going to care that much. I will update this when legion comes out (along with any changes to low level leveling as well), and will make sure everything is still fair and up to date.

So the rules for 1-100 runs are: No instant 90, no recruit a friend. Guilds are allowed, because we were probably all in a guild while leveling, and is not serious enough for me to warrant the restrictive nature.

Again, this is just to have a complete sense of the game, and so that we can start to get some interest built up for max level runs as time goes on.

Just to recap:

Death knights not allowed Imgur upload of your /played Submit with the character name (all symbols included) and server name Guilds are ok To figure out your time, take the total /played and subtract the /played from current level. If your toons were maxed out in vanilla/bc/wrath/cata/mop, then you will just need to eat the wasted time for now, until I can figure out a better system.

Edit: removed other categories requirement because I don't care that much about it, it's just a for fun thing.

I will not be adding rules that restrict game play beyond categorical limitations.

General rules and explanations: No pre-set groups. Solo queing random dungeons is fine, but questing or using a friend to move you around on their mount is not.

No guilds. Guild bonuses and guilds being able to instantly mail items to the player are unfair and provide unfair bonuses.

Timing will start after clicking "Enter World" for the first time. You may create a character before the run to pre-load the environment, but all runs must be done from a fresh character.

The mailbox is only allowed in all Heirloom catagories, non heirloom 1-60, 70, 80, 85, 90, 100, and 110 runs, Double Agent, Loremaster, and Double Agent Loremaster catagories as of the 3rd of December, 2015.

Bug exploitation is legal, as long as it is in the game and not an outside influence.

All experience potions and bonuses will be legal, provided you mail them to your character after you have entered the world for the first time, or are retrieving them on the character that will be using them (Auction house, dailies, etc.)

I am open to second opinions about the rules. However, I will not allow rules that will limit or restrict someones ability to run the game, or mandate that slower routes must be taken.

If you would like a category created under the main leader boards, please submit the run to the forums, as well as why you believe the run should count. New main categories will need at least two separate runs to be added. All runs with only single runs will be filed under the Level Leaderboards for the time being.

I'm too lazy to make them, but if you do a run of any of the following, make a post here with a vod (twitch, nico, youtube, vimeo), and I will update the leaderboard with your run.

The runs are (with their heirloom alternatives): 1-10 1-20 1-60 1-70 1-80 1-85 1-90 1-100 55-100 (the only category death knights are allowed in) All dungeons/raids (must be done at dungeons intended level, i.e. no level 100s running dead mines normal. Raids may be done in 10/25 or normal/heroic, whichever you so choose)
