I was just messinga about with the jason fight, you can get hit by the projectile and drop from the sky, I tried to line it up so I got hit by the second projectile as I was falling. It seems like it makes the death barrier lower after you get it the first time, I am curious if it could create some sort of overflow or something if you get it twice. then I was guessing, is the orb you get at the end of the fight off screen in the middle of the map? I didn't have any success, but it makes a man wonder
makes me wonder what else you could do with this same concept. If it is useful in any other map. Also, this shortcut could be good for when this run is optimized. Its simply getting hit by the enemy as you are about to hit the death barrier, will drop you from ceiling.
Not sure if this is helpful, but during the Chucky stage, I feel into the pit around the same time the enemy walked into the pit, and I hit the enemy as I hit the death barrier, which dropped me in from the ceiling. There doesn't appear to be any ceiling mechanic to land on.
thank you!! I have never been able to replicate it, it was just a freak accident.
This is from link_7777's stream. He was able to one cycle Ghostface using the knife and sitting on the left side of the screen.

This one is able to replicate. Running into that wall allows you to get enough height for the double jump. It works!!!!! Its when you slam into the wall, mid run, and jump as your slamming into it. That gives you the boost you need to hit the double jump in the passable barrier.
This would be a pretty decent time save if someone could replicate it. I still have no idea what happened. I am guessing the next screen thought I was already on the lower level so it made the floor a pass through object??? I have no idea!!!
how do you do the dart gun turnaround for the t rex? i cant figure out how to keep going forward while backwards
i still don't remember how skip does the darts at the end of the t rex. somehow he is able to go forward and turn around hold the turn around the whole time and shoot, you could probably do it with any weapons, i just forget the formula. I know that i did the electric gun for the t rex cause its on the way to the waterfall drop, the second one that is.
i know they liked it to be on hard difficulty, but i dont think i ever did hard difficulty. i think i did normal man. its been years though so i don't even remember anymore. i can tell you this though. once you get the glitches. its literally the best thing ever
first level you just mash jump its frame perfect so you reset a bunch until you get it. on the savanah level, go left hit level edge. jump shoot like 2 or 3 darts and hit left right on the d pad, it will put you backwards on the ostridge. jump and hit right left on the d pad, its all timing, if you get it right you will be outside the map on the left. hold left and keep shooting darts once your out of the map, once you hear yee ha, hold right and keep jumping, the, the level will end. on cargo, you put yourself up right near the ladder. jump and hold shoot near the ladder, if you see grants legs go back to a standing animation while in the air, you have done it right and fall through the floor. to get it right, you must hold shoot and hit and hold right once you land before falling through the floor. and you will run backwards until you are on the other side of the metal cargo, go over to the ladder and hold down to end level. last level, the waterfall glitch. you have to hold shoot while going top speed towards a water fall. hold forward whichever direction that is and shoot, once over the waterfall, let go of forward and hit down on the d pad and roll from down to whatever direction backwards is, if you get it right you will fall through the whole map. once out of the map, you have to move right until you are at the end of the level. the screen will bounce up and down. but the goal is to have your character end at the very end of the map, literally keep moving left to right until you learn the rythm. the last level as always shoot the t rex and stay alive and gg. i have no idea how skip does the raptor glitch in the jungle level, i personally just run through that one. thats why i didn't mention it.
watch the two runs for glitchless. but just knowing the glitches in the game, just not doing anything game breaking. just starting to watch top run, it looks like you would complete the levels as normal. honestly though, the glitched run is a lot more fun.
When I start the avery missions and do the four iron, I start the mission, get busted immediately, confirm load from autosave, restart mission, get two stars and get clothes at shop. Then I do the mission as intended with the sniper rifle. As I go into the next mission, demolition man, I get one star prior to entering the mission start. continue to hold the star after the mission starts and then I get busted, Once again load from confirm autosave and I am in the mission while the mission is able to be started again. I did double gatezip just to see if skumhole purchase does anything but I get an fatal error/game crash. I also tried the skumhole purchase with all gates open and I still got the fatal error. If you start the mission twice, you can save if you start the mission twice although it doesn't do anything and you gotta redo the mission. hopefully someone can figure something out with it though. I was able to replicate this, it is very specific though.
Not sure if this is entirely new or not but I found that you can in fact slide while throwing an airplane, its basically the same concept as getting a free airplane with the shaolin kick but in this instance you would hit jump instead. then you immediately want to slide left or right, timely feels pretty precise, but the slide will offset the jump. more testing needs to be done, but if you throw the airplane the right and slide right it should hurt you on release, maybe a new trick for the final boss and an instant kill?
my bad dude, i pretty much quit retro so i didnt even see your video. dont worry i made you a mod for the game.
-2.51 is the countdown timer for the Sega Version of this game. You can start the split countdown when you hit Start on the screen prior to the first stage. Keep in mind that this is for the Daze before Christmas run thats equivalent to having the pal game itself run on a ntsc genesis. The rom that has the correct speed is in the resource section under tools. If you are just running the pal version of this game on a pal setting, I believe the countdown timer is -2.59. you can tell the difference between the soundtracks in which version is faster. Keep up the runs and good luck!!!!
i would imagine that it cant be done on hardware unless you have some sort of modification. I know i won't be running this game anytime soon i was curious if i could figure it out. Makes ya wonder what else can be done though. well good luck man, post your progress if ya manage to get it. e positioning for the jump and when you meet the projectile feel like they have to be spot on the climb itself doesn't have to be like it was in the tas
